Al Umar is one of the famous restaurant of Jamia Nagar. It is famous for its Chicken Afghani. They serve amazing chicken Afghani with lots of Butter and Cream. Best Afghani chicken and butter chicken is also very tasty

Finally went for a food walk to the famous Zakir Nagar area of Delhi for a non veg feast.While I have been to Jama Masjid Matia mahal area for several times but somehow could not visit Zakir nagar earlier and finally decided with few foodie friends to visit the place. The meal was started at the popular AL Umar restaurant which is very popular for its chicken dishes.We ordered the buttery Afghani chicken and the Peshawari chicken with roomali rotis. Though it took aometime for the order to get readyvit was worth the wait. The Afgani was creamy buttery and great with roomali.Its taste was a bit close to Jama masjids Aslam though Aslam one is bit tangy. Peshwari chicken was mild spicy and was awesum. The chicken meal was a hearty yummy feast in itself.

Al Umar is the famous resturant in okhla. They serve mouthwatering Chicken Changezi, Chicken Afgani, chicken Rosted with Rumali and tandoori roti. Pocket Friendly Restaurant. Ambience - 2/5. Service - 3/5. Hygienic - 3/5. seating - 3/5. Drinking water not available.

Non veg lovers paradise. Don’t go by a car as the place has no parking. This is in the heart of Jamia. Biryani, Chicken Changezi and Korma are a must try.

An average restaurant in an area which Is full of options. Does not serve kebabs. Ordered fried chicken and the famous butter tandoori chicken. Fried chicken was too oily. Tandoori chicken could have been better. Didn’t try the curry options. Enough seating space.

The taste is good but the price are high of mutton nihari but had good experience in some dishes. Nihari less oily and less spicy which makes good in taste.

The place is always full. Food is good. Service os fine. You have to wait very long for the food. There butter chicken and changezi are good.
