Delicious biryani served with raita and papad. Must try pothu biryani. The quantity is more than sufficient.

It is a good budget resturant where you get limited set of options but good sumptuous meal in a very reasonable price. Alna Pothu Biryani: We liked it because the amount of biryani is good or two moderate eating people. It is spicy and pothu pieces are many. Best part is the non oily non soggy texture of the long grain rice which many can't manage. Over and above that it comes with a fine sprinkling of "Beresta" caramelised onion and coriander leaves on top. It appears a bit Hyderabadi to me rather than the malabar style but taste and price wise it is value for money. Pothu fry is good but I guess they need to work with their marination a bit because some pieces tend to be chewy. Meat tendering is an art and it is the home chefs that get the best. Pothu roast is good but very spicy for my liking but that may be me. I am always looking forward to these kind of restaurants for something homely and exotic. Hope they will think about it. Please keep soft drinks icecream etc. Lastly, one should try it. I have tried to give honest personal opinion but it is based on my palate.

I usually order the pothu roast and pallam from them, and it's delicious. they are budget friendly. I have also tried their chicken roast, but the pothu roast and fry tops the chart by a huge margin in comparison. I wish they would do mutton too, with the same flavors as the pothu. not a fan of the biryani, too heavily spices but the grains are good if you like hyderabadi biryani. The appams are set dosa is also great. recommend to atleast try once.
