Firstly, it was a very difficult restaurant to track. Especially for the first timers to Sarojini Market, it would be even more difficult. It was so confusing that even the Google Maps was confused. Anyways we found out the restaurant after much hassle. As soon as we went inside the restaurant, my friend commented, “it looks like a proper Delhi restaurant”. That made me happy. It was a no-nonsense restaurant which was fairly hygienic. We gave our orders for Garlic Naan, Roomali Roti and Keema Meat, which arrived in a jiffy. Garlic Naan was to die for, just the way it came, it could beat Pizza any day, it was so loaded with butter that you could have it without any side dish. But Keema took it to one level up, I didn’t like the mutton pieces because I got the fatty ones but keema with that masala was top notch. Roomali Roti didn’t feel great because we had greatest of combinations before. For the size, even though the restaurant felt expensive, it didn’t burn a hole in our pocket. Got a proper Old Dilli vibes with Dilli wala khana.

I went, I ate and I fell in love. A small restaurant with delicious flavourful food suitable to every pallette hidden in the midst of Sarojini Nagar market. We had the tawa mutton seekh, the brain curry, the dahi mutton curry and the chicken tikka - but what stood out the most delicious for me was the crispy buttery garlic naan! Their breads are amazing and served with a smile! Sardar uncle who owns the restaurant was visiting each table asking if everything was fine, and then sat down two tables away from us having an early supper. 10/10 will visit again and again!

It is surprising to see that one of the Delhi cults has such a low score on Google. Amar Jyoti has been around for decades and serves lip smacking non-vegetarian food. It serves the best Chicken Tawa Curry and Tandoori Chicken Momos in town, undoubtedly. The Butter Chicken is also great in its own right. Truly one of the best places in Delhi for delectable non-vegetarian and some heart-to-heart with the owner who is a sweet Sardarji.. Highly recommended!

The food was amazing. Really enjoyed their tandoori momos. Nice filling and the maida was also thin. Their rawa fish was amazing. And finally the keema meat, pieces were big and meaty with the flavours of keema making it even more tasty. The staff was also very courteous.

I tried Chicken Tikka Masala(gravy) and garlic naan. The garlic naan was phenomenal(soft, fluffy) but Chicken Tikka Masala was not up to the mark. The chicken pieces were not grilled and the gravy was like a runny liquid. I thought that they gave me somebody else's order so I confirmed with the owner but he said that's how their Chicken Tikka Masala is despite the dish's description being completely different in the menu.

The restaurant is a legendary place and has been long known for its north indian food. Their achari chicken tikka is a must try. But hygiene is a concern here and needs some serious attention. The owner was receptive to our feedback, and I wish the place can continue keeping up with their benchmark of customer satisfaction.

extremely unhygienic.i happened to have a view of the kitchen and it was unhygienic.the restaurant itself is not clean. ordered tawa chicken and garlic naan.not at all good.on giving the feedback they were very casual about it. Avoid going there.

overhyped and overpriced ...no taste ..very unhygienic just go and look at their open kitchen ....would never visit nor recommend..

The service was very poor, manager was also rude . Food was okayish , would not recommend to come here.
