Not a good place for takeaway . As soon as they learnt we want to pack our food and not dine they started treating us as freeloaders. Did not allow us to sit inside the restaurant even after we told that I and my son were not feeling well due to the heat and humidity. They made us sit outside on uncomfortable chairs while adding all service charges in our bill. To say their behaviour was rude, unethical and insulting will be an understatement.Food was mostly good though. Particularly the kosha mangsho and bhetki machher pathuri. Chicken pakoda was average.

The place is riddled with cockroaches. There's cockroaches on wall, on table and even climbing on the plates. The food is okay okay, not too bad. But serious steps should be taken towards basic hygiene.

Absolute mismanagement and zero accountability. We went on Saturday for late lunch, reached around 3:30PM. We asked for waiting time and were told it was 10-15 minutes. The guy maintaining the list vanished in between, with people then cutting line. We ended up waiting for nearly 40 minutes. And then another 40 minutes for our food, despite placing our order while waiting. The waiter seems to have forgotten our order and the food was almost room temperature. To tie it off, at bill payment, the guy could not find our order details and then, again, vanished in the middle of payment. I guess ordering in is a better option for this place, as they don't seem to have trained staff. The quality was decent, don't know why the aloo posto was soo oily. But nothing I would go back again for.

Had dinner at Shonar Bangla recently — honestly a letdown. Ordered Kosha Mangsho and Luchi, and the mutton came out barely cooked. Sent it back, but the second attempt was just as disappointing — tough, dry, and not properly done. When the issue was raised, the staff briefly mentioned waiving ₹70 GST, but it was billed in the end — and we paid it. Wasted my money on such shitty food. Avoid this place — there are far better Bengali restaurants in CR Park. AC was not working,we complained about it multiple times.

Pritibhog used to be my go-to. Tried Shonar Bangla again — disappointing. Mutton was half-cooked, dry, and not edible. Sent it back, but the second round wasn’t any better. Manager briefly offered to waive ₹70 GST but ended up billing it anyway — which I paid. This isn’t about ₹70. It’s about serving proper food and treating customers with basic respect. Avoid.

Super disappointed with the food, most importantly the serving boys didn't seem like they wanted to be there. We ordered kolkata biryani expecting an authentic kolkata style biryani, the way they promise. Instead what came was a biryani with the freezer-cold chicken pieces. we got it replaced however the biryani still didn't impress. 1/5
