After hearing and watching many food bloggers review this place, i personally wanted to visit this place. After a hectic day we reached this place at 11pm and this place was worth it all. We ordered chicken sheek, butter chicken, rumali roti and tandoor, let me go one by one 1) chicken sheek: soft and juicy minced chicken with slight crunch from the burned meat, the hint of spices and the after taste of green chilli was lip smacking. My rating out of 5: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2) Butter chicken: lived upto the expectations perfectly cooked chicken with masala and generous quantity of butter was something that I really enjoyed every bite. My rating :⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3) tandoori chicken: the meat was the same as butter chicken but without butter and mayo. When compared to the previous 2 dishes this was not even meeting the expectation. My rating : ⭐️⭐️

Aslam Chicken - Pure buttery magic in a 'Tasla'. The restaurant is situated near Jama Masjid, Delhi, in the same lane as Karim's and Al Jawahar. The atmosphere is lively, no-frills, and a multi-story eatery that is often very crowded. We ordered butter chicken accompanied by roti. Unlike the standard tomato-based creamy orange gravy, it is essentially charcoal-grilled chicken tikka drenched in a rich, creamy sauce made predominantly of melted butter and spices, creating a creamy and smoky flavor. It is best enjoyed with roomali roti. Pocket pinch - 500/- for 2.

The tandoori chicken soaked in butter and coriander sauce or the butter chicken as they call it, was divine, 🤌🏻 it was nothing like I have ever had before, yet it reminded me of the good old tandoori food I used to have as a child. 10/10 would recommend.

KASAM PURANI DILLI KI-1! Aslam Butter Chicken is the iconic food place in Matia Mahal near Jama Masjid@Old Delhi. It revolutionized the butter chicken with their twist of using tandoori/ grilled chicken with dollops of AMUL butter, cream and masala in a tasla and thus was born the ASLAM BUTTER CHICKEN. Though floating in butter and overtly rich, it became a huge hit and tastes yumm when had with Roomali roti. We have been visiting Aslam for more than a decade now, but this time went to their new outlet opp Haji Chicken in Matia Mahal itself. This new place has huge sitting area, and many families have started going there over the older branch. The butter chicken and roomali as always was yummyyy! However, I wanted to have the Reshe Waale Shami kabab, which I saw in a video, so ordered a plate of chicken reshe waale shami kababs. It has been years since I had reshe waale kababs and is very hard to get in market and mostly had it at close Muslim friend’s home. The kababs were spicy and filled with chicken and Resha were yummy! I really loved the kababs and will recommend people to try when visiting Aslam for the butter chicken. A yumm meal @Delhi-6!!!!

I visited Delhi twice last year and I made it a point to eat at this place each time. Why? "Because I simply love that cholesterol" 😂 That Butter - Chicken is something to die for, figuratively and literally. Also, I've had the best Chicken Shami Kebabs from them.

Aslam Chicken was in my list during my last visit to Delhi. Somehow it got missed due to the charm of the elderly man outside Haji Mohd. Hussain. This time I made sure I’m going to drown in that butterly chicken. I took a long walk through the by lanes of Old Delhi, which got me dizzy already but one look at the Chicken overloaded with butter made me dizzy all over again. I ordered few stale Romali Roti’s to eat with it but it was still too heavy. I should have ordered just quarter chicken because half chicken was too full for one person. Anyways it was in my wish list so I went for it. As for the taste is concerned, it was not to my liking. It gave a weird taste with curd mixed with butter. A spicier version would have been better. But it’s definitely one of a kind and one ought to taste it to feel it.
