Good food, but terrible service and maintenance. We waited 30–40 minutes for our food, and the service was entirely unmanaged—we had to repeatedly call the staff for everything from ordering and the bill to spoons, napkins, and table cleaning. The ambiance was just as disappointing: one AC was broken, while the other was dripping water on the floor, leaving us with limited places to sit. They also do not accept District billing. On the positive side, the egg Kathi roll and veg thali were both delicious. The thali comes in a great quantity that is sufficient for two people. If you don't mind the terrible service, the food itself is worth trying.

On the Durga Puja Saptami night visited the restaurant for the first time. I am from Kolkata and wanted to check on some good bengali dishes in this mini Kolkata of New Delhi. Though the ambiance is okay of this small dining outlet, but the service on the given day was really slow because of the heavy rush, but what I didn't like was the restautants intent to encash on the festival days on natural choice of people for Bengali food items because of the demand, by revising the rates and cutting down on quality, quantity and services. The Mutton Biriani that we had ordered was priced Rs.599 + GST, but it was tasteless, dry, served in a very small quantity in a plate, without any accompaniments and we felt being cheated. Was really surprised to find the food were served in melamine plates, with no glasses provided for drinking water, no fork or spoons, etc. in the table. The table hygiene were totally compromised, and washroom was too dirty. Please avoid this restaurant, if you wish to really enjoy good quality bengali dishes. Check out for any quality outlets with good reviews & ratings of customers. We didn't have any choice, since we were visiting Mela Ground Puja and it was around 10 pm, difficult to reach to any other place because of traffic.

I went with my friend to make him try Bengali food but ended up very disappointed as the taste of mutton thali was not at all good. Starters were Okies but mocktails were very average and as a Bengali did not like the food at all. Also many options we were asking were unavailable.

PATHETIC. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY & TIME Extremely disappointing experience at Bangla Canvas. • Had to get up and ask someone to take our order. Nobody came to our table on their own. • Most of the dishes on the menu were either unavailable or we were asked to order something else because they'd take "too long." Poor management. • Not even basic hospitality. We weren't offered water throughout our meal. • Food took forever to arrive. We had to keep following up every 10–15 minutes, and dishes were served with long gaps in between. • Fish fingers came in four completely different sizes, with only mustard sauce. No forks, no ketchup, and no one even asked. • Staff kept placing new dishes on a table full of used plates instead of clearing it first. We had to ask them to make space. • Food was average at best and nowhere close to being worth the price. • The biggest shock: two ₹20 Cokes were billed as ₹150 each. Thankfully, we checked the bill and got it corrected. Please check your bill carefully. • They also forgot to serve our rasgullas. After waiting over 30 minutes, we had to remind them. Overall, the staff was not at all welcoming, the service was painfully slow, and the food wasn't worth the money. If you're looking for good Bengali food, I'd recommend spending your time and money elsewhere.

⭐ 1-Star – Extremely Bad Food & Terrible Experience! The food was extremely bad and completely unacceptable. After eating here, we became ill and had a very unpleasant experience. The food quality and hygiene clearly need serious attention. This is not just about poor taste—the fact that customers became unwell after eating is extremely concerning. Very disappointing and irresponsible. I would strongly recommend staying away from this restaurant. Never coming back again!

You need to be better prepared to handle larger orders. I had to wait quite a long time for my order, while people who arrived after me were served much faster. It was also highlighted that the quantity was not adequate. Both the taste and quantity need significant improvement, especially when you are serving authentic Bengali food. There are several similar restaurants nearby that are currently offering much better quality, taste, and portion sizes.

Disgusting place. Food doesn’t taste well and moreover the place is too dirty. Cutlery and crockery are sticky, table is stick and cockroaches running here and there on table.
