We visited this place about 10 days ago and it was exactly how I thought it would be, absolutely PERFECTT! We ordered mutton bhuna, butter Naan, podi chicken, 2 mocktails and pesto pasta. Costed us around 10K, not unexpected. But the best part was We were offered free desserts from the buffet section along with coffee for my mom, this whole thing was on the house. Unbelievable, right??? Anyway, the desserts were delicious. The ambience is mesmerizing, we took a table in open air. Highly Highly recommended place!!!

Went to taj for my anniversary stay. Capital kitchen offers great variety of options in their buffet, the food here is not too loud on spices and all items offer a subtle taste. Hakka noodles was a bit raw that was the only disappointment i encountered but whej manager got to know about this they offered complimentary mocktails which was generous. Look and feel of this place is premium .

So we went to TAJ for dinner . Got a buffet for 2 people . The food was okay okay . The service was really poor . The staff was making faces while serving food . Some items took too long to be delivered . One of the strawberry cakes had stale strawberries. Literally , one of the worst taj experiences ever .

Yesterday, I had a very disappointing experience at Taj Palace New Delhi while celebrating my wife’s birthday. We had booked dinner at the Capital Kitchen, expecting a memorable evening, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite the opposite. To begin with, the food quality was far below expectations. Several dishes were not properly cooked—especially the noodles, which were clearly undercooked. One of my friends even experienced stomach discomfort after tasting them and had to take medicine, avoiding the rest of the meal altogether. The main course was equally disappointing, lacking both taste and quality. Honestly, even a small 2-star restaurant can serve better food. I have celebrated special occasions at many five-star hotels before, but this experience was by far the worst. Additionally, at the start, the hotel staff mentioned that the buffet would not be charged for my child. However, during billing, they added the charges and denied making such a commitment. The issue is not about money—it’s about trust and keeping promises, especially from a reputed five-star brand. Overall, this experience completely spoiled our special day. I would rate it 0/10 and would not recommend it to anyone looking for good food or a pleasant dining experience. Instead, I would suggest places like ITC Maurya or dining at Bukhara for a much better experience. Truly disappointed.

We went to Taj for coffee. Wanted to go to Tea Lounge but that was closed for no reason. Its fine it can happen. We were asked to check out coffee here. Really bad decision. One male staff member was very rude, water tasted weird, and to top it all… coffee was unbearable. Like one of the worst I have had in long long time. Expected so much better from Taj, we drove for a good cup of coffee.

The service is so poor that it cant be described in words. They took 45 mins to prepare a platter.the staff was totally unprofessional. They didnt even bother to inform us as to how long it will take for food to come at our plates. Except for Gaurav who was a server(waiter) there. He was very kind and polite.

Unresponsive staff, slow service, disappointing for a luxury hotel like TAJ. Not up to expectations.
