so went to try benne but seeing the long queue we decided to come to the OG and our favourite Carnatic cafe. we still had to wait for 15 mins but worth it we ordered as below - 1. mallaeshwaram 18th cross dosa - absolute favourite - buttery, crispy and the masala was yummy - so we're the accompanying chutneys and sambhar 2. workshop thatte idli - melt in mouth, we asked for podi masala separately and that elevated it to another level 3. ghee roast dosa - again crispy and butter and damn delicious 4. shant shanti majjige(buttermilk) - it was cold and refreshing!! 5. paddu - my 2nd favourite item - super crispy, moist, and so delicious 6. filter coffee and butter head - filter coffee was good, bitter head was quite light overall we paid 1570 for everything and absolutely loved each n every dish.

One can never go wrong with Carnatic cafe. The food was delicious and felt like the best form South Indian cuisine could take. The service was fast and options many!

All dosas are very VERY oily be it ghee podi or not. Their dosas are not exactly breakfast material (breakfast is the whole point of dosas btw), not even lunch but ofc if you wanna pass out. Paddus could use more green chilis as they used to in the restraunt’s initial year.

Carnatic at GK 2 M block is by far the worst outlet of it’s franchise. Not only do they lack in service they also lack in hospitality and making it up to the customers. Every server is standing next to the cooking station & lack giving bare minimum in terms of attention. The food has always been a hit & a miss. Poor service.

rudest staff who don't care about guests. they are busy couting money. when asked for a feedback form they denied. wow we have just come and sat and not even placed our first order and we are being pressurised by rude staff to place a final order.

Found a hair in my food. But no heed was paid by this manager in specs. When I objected paying the money for my dish, he said the hair was found in your chutney and not in your meal. No apology or remorse. Such is their attitude.

There sambar was like thick Dal, Rasam was pathetic, also their staff is not interested in completing your order Had to chase them multiple times and then also they for the last order, never eating here again Waste of money

the food is bad. out of all the carnatic cafe branches I have tried yet, this is really bad. do not come to this branch.
