Went there for dinner tonight, was told no more waiting in line and restaurant isn't accepting people anymore. waited a while and got allotted a nice table. ordered neer dosa, bombat, set dosa, kokum sherbet, lime soda, and obbattu. absolutely loved every dish, especially the bombat... the moist, buttery filling inside is gorgeous ✨️ the jaggery-coconut chutney they served tasted like home. would visit again

This was the best dosa of my life. I've tried the Mahabaleshwar 18th cross dosa which is to die for and medu vada was so soft it melts in your mouth, tried the filter coffee and it was equally good. We waited for 20-25 mins but it was worth it.

The first thing I Google when I have to visit an area is the best place to eat there. Carnatic, certainly didn’t disappoint with it’s food. I had a foamy filter coffee to begin with which was strong and sublime. They have a limited yet detailed list of dosas you could order from. I went for their most famous and flavoured Malleshwaram 18th Cross and it was amazing! The love for the food can overlook the service. The person assisting us acted off- a know it all over confident server. While I loved his passion for his job, I didn’t appreciate the tone and over confidence. Anyway, when I arrived it was not busy but when I left a long queue awaited. Good food for the price and truly authentic so would 100% recommend.

Visited this South Indian place recently and really enjoyed the food. The dosas were crisp, well-seasoned, and paired with flavorful chutneys and sambar. The taste felt authentic and freshly made. Portion sizes were satisfying and the service was polite and fairly quick. The ambiance is simple and clean. Seating is a bit limited during busy hours, but if you find a spot, it’s definitely worth the visit for a tasty South Indian meal.

Tried the Malleswaram 18th Cross Dosa myself, while my friends tried regular mysore masala & onion masala dosas. Decent. Also tried paddus- so tasty, and workshop thatte idli- not a big fan. Decent ambience, with a little clumsy servers. Had to wait too for a table, so overall okayish experience for having tried authentic Karnataka food for the first time.

Skip the dine-in experience and order Carnatic Cafe's tasty South Indian food online through Swiggy or Zomato. Enjoy the flavors at home, sans the poor service. Their Gurgaon outlet's staff is somewhat better, but still not great. Delivery is your best bet! I'm a regular at Carnatic Cafe's Lodhi Road outlet, drawn by their delicious South Indian food. Unfortunately, my experiences are consistently marred by shockingly poor service. Every visit is a gamble with subpar staff behavior. The food is consistently good, with standout dosas and idlis. However, the service is an embarrassment. Dirty tables, forgotten orders, cold Sambhar, and used cutlery are just a few issues I've encountered. When pointed out, the staff's response is often defensive and dismissive. The servers' attitude is the biggest letdown. Arguing over simple requests, poor body language, and an overall lack of concern for customer satisfaction make dining here a frustrating experience. It's not just me; I've witnessed other customers complain about similar issues. Despite the good food, the service is a major turn-off. If you're a fan of their cuisine, be prepared for subpar treatment. Maybe try their other outlets if you can. *Regular's Advice:* Go for the food, but temper your expectations. Carnatic Cafe needs a serious service overhaul to match their culinary standards.

Ordered for Rava Masala dosa ,it was very bad. Masala was separate & only one spoon Sambhar was tasteless and cold. Utthapaam was totally dry and after replacing it was one side cooked and never saw utthapum in white colour . Please avoid going there
