Chidambaram's New Madras Hotel

This morning, ended up near Lodhi road for an absolutely unrelated something. To satiate our hunger pangs, we decided to try Chidambaram (had heard about it from a friend). And did it?, without a doubt.. This very underplayed and not so fancy looking hotel serves the best south indian meal I've ever had till date in Delhi. The service was stupendous and the food was soul touching. You will be surprised how this tiny place could offer such a Michelin star taste with so much warmth. Loved everything about it- Taste, service and everything else around it.

It's a small little place but hands down serves one of the best South Indian food in Delhi. I tried their Ghee Podi Masala Dosa. Every bite was full of flavour, and the taste of the chutneys was amazing as well. The service was top notch too, I felt personally attended to. Would highly recommend!

A Simple South Indian Joint on Lodhi Road — worth the money. We ordered Adai Dosa, Masala Dosa, Veg Uttapam, Thatte Idli, buttermilk, and filter coffee — all were delicious !

The food is excellent although you have to bear the waiting time. Podi masala dosa is a must try but it’s oily, keep that in mind. Filter coffee is good

Had a wonderful time at this small, cozy spot on Lodhi Road. It was packed when I arrived, which wasn't surprising given how good the food is! They started with some complimentary rasam, which was a great palate cleanser. The hospitality was really good – the servers were nice and attentive. They noticed my sambar was empty and refilled it without me even asking! ​I ordered the ghee podi masala dosa, and it was really delicious – the podi masala was perfect. It came with three chutneys: pudina, coconut, and an onion-tomato one. They also have a variety of South Indian dishes, including thalis, and some Chinese options like noodles and soups. A great place for authentic South Indian food

I am amazed on how people just post anything and have no sense of taste. This place is overly hyped and I fail to understand for what. It's a small desi style place in Khanna market. We had their Chidambaram Special Rava dosa which were two dosas, one with a paneer filling and the other with an aloo filling. Both were very very greasy. It felt like I was eating the ghee directly in a paper like packet. The fillings had no taste, rather the aloo filling had a burnt aftertaste. The next we ordered was the malabar parotta with Kurma! Again! The parotta was cooked on high heat and with too much ghee that it was undercooked from the middle. It came with a small portion of kurma, fried rice (confused? even I was), sweet dahi and rava kesari (again, oily and zero taste). DO NOT EAT HERE.

Food was vile. Absolutely horrid. They served an onion chutney that was made with raw onions. Plus the attitude of the servers 🤮. Forget about legit, it seemed dosa was made by someone who had never eaten one in his life.

This is komal from Lodi Road Post office, I'm very disappointed as I have ordered masala dosa at 1:10 today from office. I got one hair in the SAMBAR so I threw whole dosa with sambar in dustbin. kindly refund my cash back.
