If you want restaurant-style Mughlai food without stepping out, go for Matia Mahal Rarha Gosht. The gravy had depth and complexity, clearly slow-cooked. The meat was tender and infused with all those warm spices. Delivered hot and fresh. Ended my meal with Chandni Chowk Malai Falooda, and honestly, it felt nostalgic. Creamy, fragrant, and beautifully sweet without being over the top. It’s rare to get that authentic old Delhi dessert feel through delivery, but they nailed it.

Ordered Zucchini Masala Mushroom for a vegetarian dinner, and it was such a pleasant surprise. Light yet flavorful, with just the right amount of masala. The freshness of ingredients really showed. Finally, a restaurant that does veggies justice! I’m planning a party at my house soon, would love to order some apps and some mains from Lakhori.

Tried their Mutton Rogan Josh and I’m still thinking about it! The flavor was layered — smoky, spicy, and subtly sweet from caramelized onions. Meat was juicy and perfectly cooked. Great packaging too, no oil leakage. Five stars from a serious mutton lover.

Dal Makhani from here tastes rich, creamy, and comforting. Paired it with their Awadhi Subz Biryani and mint raita. This combination was honestly restaurant-quality at home. Portion sizes were big enough for two.

Food was fantastic but location and ambience is not good. It’s a restaurant in a Haveli hotel where most of the tables are occupied by their foreigner guests. No music no vibes at all. If you want to taste good food then it’s your place but do not expect anything else.

The palak patta chaat was crisp and held its texture nicely. Aloo mint kebab was soft on the inside and nicely seasoned. Everything tasted fresh and not overly rich. Finished with kesar kulfi falooda, which was creamy without being too sweet.

Dharampur Haveli has done a wonderful job with its décor. The beautiful heritage setting genuinely reflects the old-world charm, culture and character of Chandni Chowk. The ambience is impressive, and the starters were genuinely very good. Unfortunately, that is where the experience largely ends. The Kathak performance was disappointing. It felt poorly trained and lacked the grace, precision and authenticity one expects from a classical Indian dance form. Perhaps it may appeal more to foreign tourists who are unfamiliar with Kathak, but for anyone who understands or appreciates the art, it was difficult to watch. The restaurant also needs to be much more transparent about its pricing. On Fridays and Saturdays, guests should be clearly informed before making a reservation that only a fixed menu is available at ₹4,500 per person plus taxes, with no à la carte option. This is a significant amount, and guests deserve to know exactly what they are signing up for.

I don’t remember when was I this disappointed with Mughlai/ north Indian food. We ordered the Chef’s tasting menu and it looked like there was no effort, whatsoever to make it feel special and the service was equally disappointing.
