This place is beautiful, with a Chettinad vibe and Japanese-style tiles, wooden teak, and lovely paintings showing daily life in Chettinad. They have some interesting dishes like stuffed idli, which is super flavorful and tasty, and the masa vada is crispy. The sukkha chicken with paratha is a bit spicy, but the soft paratha totally balances it out. I'm sure you'll love it.

Cute little South Indian ambience. Small services like welcome drink and staff are good. Food could be better.. flavors of three dishes ordered were quite similar.

I had a pretty disappointing experience at IdliNama. The food just didn’t deliver. Most of it lacked basic flavour, everything tasted very flat and underwhelming. The dosa, especially, was super mid and felt very basic, nothing memorable at all. The only thing I liked was the idli. To make matters worse, we found a hair in the korma and paratha, which is just unacceptable. What really ruined the experience, though, was everything beyond the food. The service was painfully slow, and the overall management was not helpful at all. And then came the billing — they charged us ₹250 for a simple Diet Coke can (which usually costs ₹40), and even added alcoholic beverage tax on it. That just felt completely unreasonable and shady. The restaurant was dead and empty, I’m wondering how they’re even paying rent in GK2. Nothing really stood out in a good way. Between the bland food, hygiene issues, poor service, and questionable billing, it’s not a place I’d go back to.

The food was absolutely below average and lacked flavour. Spices were overwhelming. The service was quite slow and lacked warmth overall. Seemed short staffed as well. They charged 150 rupees for some refill Of aloo masala for masala dosa. No desserts in the menu. The chettinad and biryani was the worst I ever had and this is coming from a south indian. Never going back again. Only bearable thing was chicken 65 and filter coffee.

Visited Idni Nama today with family. The food was quite average for the price, and the sambar in particular was disappointing. What affected the experience more was the service, our server, Deepa, came across as quite unfriendly and rigid. A simple request for a cold towel for my child was refused, which felt unnecessary. Overall, not as welcoming or satisfying as expected.
