Honest review is not upto the mark, hype is more reality is something else, ordered Tandoori chicken (their invention) was best amongst all, fish tikka was ordinary and most importantly their signature Dal Makhni which was very average, breads were so hard, only the manager Mr Mohit was very humble and hospitable.

The restaurant denied the availability of normal water and was insisting us to have the mineral water bottle which was chargeable. As per our knowledge, regular water should be available for all customers without charging any money in all food outlets. The food was okayish

The prawns were tough & chewy. The full tandoori chicken was good, the phirni was not oversweet but was too dense & rubbery.

Service could be better. Employees were in hurry to wind down since the moment we sat. Whole main course food was served within 5-10 minutes, whereas Masala papad which ideally should be served at the beginning was served at the last, above all staff was laughing embarrassingly for their goof up.

I had a very disappointing experience today at IFC Moti Mahal. I visited the restaurant with my parents for dinner, and Jitu Singh was attending our table. At the end of the meal, I chose to pay the bill through Zomato to avail a 15% discount, especially since the total bill was around Rs8,000. Unfortunately, I accidentally made the payment to the wrong branch (South Ex). I fully acknowledge that this mistake was on my end. However, when I politely requested Jitu Singh to give me a few minutes to connect with Zomato support and explain the situation, his response was dismissive. He insisted that I make another payment immediately, saying that Zomato would process the refund later. While I had no intention of avoiding payment and clearly communicated that I would pay, I simply wanted to first speak with Zomato for clarity and peace of mind, and to ensure any required proof could be handled while I was still at the restaurant. Unfortunately, his behavior became increasingly impatient and rude, making me feel uncomfortable, as if I was trying to avoid paying, which was not the case at all. This kind of attitude, especially over a significant bill amount, is unacceptable. IFC Moti Mahal should seriously work on training their staff in basic customer handling and professionalism.
