food : sushi was pretty mediocre, but the tantanmen ramen broth was really good. noodles were like maggi service: not great, plates had water stains and still wet, had to ask for tissues, no sauces/chilli oil etc already available, still charged service charge. bill came to 2k after flat 25% off, 2 ramen bowls and 1 4pc sushi

Went for dinner after a long time. Food was really below average. Oily and salty. Not one dish was worth eating. We had dimsums, fish and lamb also the bento but had to leave most of the food as it just wasn't tasty. And i have been to japan, love the cuisine, kampai has not maintained its standards. And at 2000+ a person it is absolutely not worth going to.

Packing was sub par for a fine dining restaurant the ramen soup leaked all over. Food quality was good however.

Such a pathetic food. I’m pretty sure they have fake rating on their page, because honestly I’ve eaten Sushi and other asian dishes at youmee, mamagoto, yumyum cha, nori, etc and they have much better taste, presentation & ambience, I do know what’s the hype of this place, I’m not going to recommend to anyone this place. Sever had no idea about the bestsellers. I wish I could give 0.

Food was really bad, I had ordered three dishes, one was overcooked, another was undercooked and the third one was very oily. Absolutely unacceptable for the price. There was nothing authentic Japanese about the place.
