The owners should be incredibly proud of what they’ve created here. Yes, what an exceptional place! A true gem in every little sense. Warm n sophisticated vibes all around. Fantastic cocktails with fantastic presentation, beautifully served in fantastic glassware. Excellent quality food, excellent crockery n cutlery. Warm, attentive and friendly staff. Well designed space with comfortable seating and music played at pleasant, conversation-friendly volume. The only slight shortcoming was the noodles, where no extra effort was evident, feeling a touch understated for an establishment of this calibre.

We had an incredible time at Kamei. I visited with two vegetarian friends, both of whom said that Kamei had the best vegetarian Japanese food they had ever eaten. The Oyster Mushroom Skewers were phenomenal, we even placed a second order. The Mushroom Truffle Fried Rice paired very well with the Adobo Mock Duck and was great on its own too. The service was excellent, and the staff at Kamei were very accommodating with a few special requests. I will absolutely visit again soon!

One of the best Asian places. Every dish was delectable..I have never enjoyed Chinese main course as much.. pumpkin, sesame seeds in main course burnt chicken was outstanding. Even the noodles were refreshing and ingredients so fresh ! Tofu nest, 5 types of dumplings, sushi- we had a great time

Review for Kamei, Malviya Nagar Kamei is located in a new, lively complex in Malviya Nagar, surrounded by modern cafés and shops that give the area a vibrant feel. I stopped by without a reservation and was pleasantly surprised when the staff quickly offered me a seat at the bar — which turned out to be even better than the main dining area. The restaurant has a warm, elegant atmosphere with dim lighting and a calm, romantic vibe. The staff are well-trained and attentive. We were served by Mawi, a young woman from Assam, whose service was exceptional. She explained each dish with care and confidence, which added a personal touch to the meal. The food was excellent — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with attention to detail. The bill was reasonable for the quality and experience. Overall, Kamei delivers on every front — food, service, and ambience. We left with the clear feeling that we would be back, which says everything about how enjoyable the evening was. Rating 4.5 stars Price - reasonably priced From Raj Gupta (UK)

Awesome. Closer to five stars. Great food. The turnip cake, oyster mushroom, pomelo salad, rambutan salad. Over all great good great service, nice ambience. Been there multiple time. Highly recommended, will go again.

Went for anniversary dinner. Will break down the experience Cocktail - was a disappointment. Had sake based drink on their recommendation, however it came out to be disappointing both in portion size and quality The appetisers - crab tacos and dumplings were super good and amazing Main course Again Mains we had Chengdu Snapper as main dish. We have stayed in China for 8 years but the dish was only a pale shadow of the original dish, hence we were tad disappointed. Though ambience was good the staff was struggling to keep fruit flies away from anything served on the table for the entire course of our evening. Overall a mix experience on a special day. Not sure if we return for another experience,,,

Went here for my birthday. Food was okay. Nothing great. Nothing terrible. Slightly under seasoned and underwhelming. Service wasn't great though. Had ordered 2 rice and a noodles with the main course. The rice came with the food, but the noodles didn't. The noodles showed up when we were more or less done with the food. So we asked the server to take it back because there was no food left to eat the noodles with. That was an issue for them it seems.
