This is probably the first time I am writing a review here without being asked to. To say the least, Kuuraku truly deserves it. I have been here a couple of times this year with friends, but yesterday I went there solo. I noticed the little things that this place offers for the first time yesterday. From the moment you walk in till the time you leave, the staff would be cheering on you like anything. I ordered my usual Kuuraku special ramen and teppan gyoza. The staff brought all my food with such excitement "MA'AM YOUR TEPPAN GYOZA". It Genuinely made me so so happy and excited for my food. I experienced almost the child like excitement when your mom gets you your fav food. This continued with every little interaction I had with the staff throughout the night. I have never been to Japan, but this is exactly how warm and welcoming I imagine it to be. I have interacted with the owners once, and they told me that they want people to experience not just Japanese food, but also the culture. They are doing a pretty solid job here. I absolutely LOOOOVE THIS PLACE!!! 100/10 WOULD RECOMMEND FOR FOOD AND VIBES!

Absolutely one of my favourite go to place for a warm huggable bowl of ramen plus would recommend this just not for the food but also for the amazing ambiance that they have created with the people there, the way the greet or make a cheering call when they serve food or drinks. Great vibe! Definitely worth the money.

Their Yakitori with Chicken and pork and the sticky rice with chicken was awesome. The place has a fun ambience and the servers make it very lively with their welcome and goodbye salutations. Very good service.

We were 2 people. 1 a vegetarian and 1 non vegetarian. For non vegetarian dishes we ordered yakitori which was very good. Next we had a Kuuraku ramen half which was average. The broth was very light. 3rd we had a Kaarage which was good. For vegetarian we had a taj mahal roll which was what you can get as a veg sushi roll. Well made. Next a tantanmen veg which wasn't great. It was average. The okonomiyaki was also just above average. One thing we liked was they offered half ramen bowls so we could try more items.

We visited Kuuraku for dinner on a weekday, and the place was surprisingly packed. While the lively atmosphere might appeal to some, it felt quite noisy, making it a bit difficult to have a conversation. One charming aspect was the traditional Japanese-style seating arrangement, along with the custom of removing shoes before being seated—it added a unique and authentic touch to the experience. Coming to the food, it was a mix of hits and misses. We had- • Chicken garlic mayo yaki- it was absolutely delicious. • Teppan chicken gyoza- it was bland and underwhelming. • Ebi tempura sushi roll- this was a standout, really well done and flavorful. • Ishiyaki teriyaki don bowl- On its own, it felt a bit mild and bland, but adding the chili oil available on the table significantly enhanced the flavors. • Aka Tonkotsu pork ramen- it was decent, but I was expecting something more impressive, it wasn’t bad, just not memorable. Service, unfortunately, was the main area where the experience fell short. While it’s understandable that the staff may have been busy, the overall service felt a bit rushed and inattentive. We had to remind the staff multiple times for basic requests like water and cutlery, and table clearing took longer than expected. Additionally, when we requested to modify one of our orders shortly after placing it to the server named Zovi, the response felt somewhat abrupt and unaccommodating. She told us to hurry up with the modification else the chef would prepare the ramen in a minute which was funny as we just placed the order and the ramen was served after an hour anyway. This interaction, in particular, left us feeling a bit uncomfortable. Overall, Kuuraku offers some delightful dishes and a charming ambiance, but improvements in service and consistency would greatly enhance the overall experience.

While the food is absolutely amazing, the service is equally slow and dismal. Water is not served unless you ask for it (thrice in our case). Management to look at re-training servers on basics.

Service charges are optional which was not accurately mentioned in their invoice. It is not legal.

The vibe is great but the food is not even close to japanese. The wasabi is basically some green paste, not even horseradish. Okonomiyaki didn't have any noodles or the batter. It was merely some pork pieces on a bed of cabbage. Hugely disappointed with the food.
