We had made a reservation at La Isla through Zomato to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and we were genuinely very excited to try this place. Unfortunately, our experience turned into a major disappointment. Just about 15 minutes after we had settled at our table, the owner approached us and asked us to vacate it because her friends had arrived and wanted that spot. This was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable, especially since we had a confirmed booking. What made matters worse was the owner’s attitude—she was rude and highly disrespectful, which completely ruined what was meant to be a special celebration for our family. I would strongly not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

I usually hate to criticize but sorry to say never had such a harrowing experience . we went with family to celebrate an occasion with a prior booking through zomato. We were made to sit and then vacate the place for another booking of some owner's relative. The way we were made to vacate the place was completely uncalled for. Owner was unperturbed when we confronted and felt disrespected. They dont know how to treat customers.

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at La Isla was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it, especially since the ratings seem quite misleading. We were a group of four and were initially seated in a cramped area that hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was visible dust on the floor, which immediately gave a poor impression. The seating itself was uncomfortable, as it was a passage where people were constantly moving back and forth. We could even see waiters handling frozen spring rolls nearby, which was not a pleasant sight while dining. To make things worse, there was an almirah right behind my seat that was repeatedly opened to take out cutlery, which kept disturbing us throughout. To add to that, we were asked to use disposable cups for water because they had run out of glasses. Not wanting to spoil the mood, we agreed, although it was quite unexpected. Later, when some water was accidentally spilled, a staff member came to clean it using a cloth that didn’t look very hygienic. This made us uncomfortable and raised concerns about overall cleanliness, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. The service also lacked finesse. The staff seemed untrained—for instance, one of them was serving food directly in the middle of the plate without any attention to presentation. It may seem like a small detail, but such things do make a difference to the overall dining experience. The food was average—not what one would expect from a place that appears to position itself as fine dining. It felt more like a regular café experience. Additionally, while using the washroom, I happened to notice the kitchen, and it looked quite unhygienic, which was very off-putting. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I hope the management pays more attention to hygiene, service, and basic dining standards in the future, as it certainly did not live up to the expectations set by its ratings.

I went to La Isla with my family for dinner. We ordered grilled fish, grilled chicken, golden fried prawns and a few cocktails. Everything was great. Then I hosted a birthday party here for approx 30 people and had the best time ever. After finalising the venue, the owners invited us for a food tasting session, which really helped us understand the food items we should keep for our party. On the day of the event, the owners personally made sure that everything was in order. They made personalised menu cards for our party and put them on display for the guests' convenience. There were many items on the menu including prawns, fish fingers, chicken dimsums, chicken satay, cheese dimsums, patatas bravas, pizza, mushroom tacos, pasta, grilled chicken, chinese main course, Tres Leches, Skillet cookie, etc. The ingredients in every dish were of high quality, all the items were delicious and liked by my guests. The cocktail menu was extensive and the bartender made really good drinks. The serving staff was really courteous and warm. The music was great too. Overall we had a delightful time at La Isla and I would highly recommend this place for a cozy meal and for hosting a party.
