Came here earlier today after seeing some YouTube videos of the restaurant, and the place did not disappoint. This is the restaurant that used to be earlier part of J&K House. It has got a slight revamp and it is now part of Ladakh Bhawan. The menu is entirely Kashmiri Wazwan. Strongly recommend the Nadru Yakhani (Veg), Mutton Rogan Josh, & Chicken Qorma. The ambience was simple, restaurant was clean, service was quick and no-nonsence. The food was flavorful and had just the right amount of spices - felt like a home cooked Wazwan. Best part of all - the price was incredibly cheap for a clean AC restaurant - 2 people can eat heartily for about Rs. 500! This was my first time here and I will keep coming again! Recommend this place to anyone looking for some no nonsense and home style Kashmiri food without burning a hole in their pocket.

quite affordable. The service is really quick. The quality is excellent. Although, zomato mentions the timings from 5 in the evening, the dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. Similarly, one can expect lunch after 12. Their rogan josh is more like homemade mutton curry but it's really good. The mutton falls off the bone. I also tried their dry items. Must say, the quality and taste is better than many known restaurants. Except rogan josh, you will find all other items to be authentic. It's a family space. One should definitely visit.

Came here after i found out that the canteen had been renovated. Prior to that i came in 2016 or so and wasn't very impressed. However how things have changed! The staff is extremely courteous and generous in their hospitality. The food is one of the best i have tried (i used to hate yakhni till i tried theirs) I have tried Rista, Gustaba, Yakhni, Haak, Haak Paneer, Dum Aloo, Mutton Kabab, all are so well prepared. If you ever feel like eating kashmiri just head down here!

Clean hygienic place with authentic kashmiri household taste. We are frequent visitors here for dinner/ lunch. This canteen is open for all and should be known to all. If anyone is complaining about bit hard meat then remember even in Kashmir you will get the same. That's how they eat. We prefer mutton here over chicken and do taste their lal paneer, haak, dum aloo, rajma

We are so happy to discover this restaurant for kashmiri food. The food was piping hot and fresh. We tried rista, tabak Mazda, gustaba, rice, haak. The kahwa wasjust so slightly sweet and so tasty. We had 2 cups each. Be back soon.

Rogan josh was fake. How can u have rogan josh gravy with think onion and tomato? Shocking. Yakhni mutton was hard and raw. Unchewable. Very bad experience & totally tasteless food.
