Lavana is the fine dining restaurant of the hyatt regency, Gurugram. As being a 5 star property, the interior and the ambience is lavishly created. I visit the property, for a dinner with my close friends as to try out there new menu, about the KBC Fest- Kabab Beer Chaat fest. As the name suggest, the fest includes unlimited kababs -3 veg/non veg with beer and chaats(Rs1699++). I really liked the concept as they offer you unlimited 3 variant of vegetarian and non vegetarian lip smacking kababs, paired with unlimited beer and chaat combining the whole package with veg/non biryani as main course and dessert at a great price. the Kababs we got to try included, Non Veg- Chicken gilafi seekh, amritsari fish and lamb boti Veg- paneer tikka, malai broccoli and shaamj kabab Paired with chaat- golgappa with 4 types of waters, bhel puri, and dahi bhalla. Maims included- dum biryani both veg and non veg And without deserts the meal is incomplete- shahi tukra made our day. This combination makes us try variety of dishes from different parts of India.

So we went to this place for the special KBC Fest- Kebab, Beer and Chaat fest which is a great concept in my opinion. You get beer, different types of kebabs and chatpati chaat at just a nominal price, what more could you ask for? Talking about the ambience, it's really beautiful. The place looks so classy and has an whole different level of uniqueness. The food was really great, I loved the Gilafi Seekh Kebab and their Dahi Golgappa chaat. The Amritsari Fish was amazing too. Talking about the service, it was really amazing. The management works like a pro, they're really good at their work.

Planned a dinner with my family. Decided to go to Hyatt Lavana. Good place for family get together with great ambience. Kids friendly too. We ordered fish tikka and mutton. Fish tikka was simply amazing and finger licking. We were highly disappointed with mutton that we ordered as after a lot of discussion and confirmation they told it's goat meat but when the dish was served it was lamb. There is a lot of difference in both tastes. Also the curry had no flavour and no spice. Lamb was not cooked properly. Don't recommend anyone ordering lamb there. Overall had a good experience. Chef and staff were polite. Recommend going there for family get together. Nice place where you can talk and relax.

Had stuffed paneer tikka and mewe mawe ki kakori. Cooked with a generous amount of cream, mawa, and dryfruits, the warm chefs were unable to save the dish from a mediocre taste that characteristics most five star restaurants. Service was excellent, though being the only people in the restaurant did help. Good ambience. The dishes are priced in the range of 700-900 per dish on average and you pay essentially for the brand of Hyatt. Verdict: Good quality of service and food, but bland taste and not value for money; wouldn't recommend for a visit.

Place and ambjence are good. Choice of food is limited. Also, no smoking zone. You will have to either go to the lobby floor or the ground floor and then go outside the building to smoke. Also, no DJ.
