The food was great and the vibe is very chill. Soft acoustic music that is not overwhelming, so you can hear conversations. Would definitely come back for the bacon and shrimp fettuccine.

sunday evening me and girlfriend came to this place- the cafe is very nicely located. our order- we order 1 filter coffee, 1 cappuccino, 1 smoothie bowl 1 mushroom sour dough sandwich. The coffee was very average, the food was very average. we saw the reviews on Google and came here. Menu was very limited. but the service was good they were swift and clean premises. thank you!

I have been visiting Lavonne Café, Defence Colony almost every week for breakfast over the past few months, and honestly, it has been one of my favourite places — both for the food and the warm hospitality. A couple of months ago, when Manager Vaibhav had come to my table to take feedback, I had shared how much I enjoy the food and how frequently I visit. In that light-hearted conversation, I mentioned that since I’m a regular, they should start giving me a small loyalty discount. Vaibhav very graciously agreed and offered a 10% discount on my visits thereafter. To clarify — my repeat visits were never because of the discount. I genuinely relish the food and have always found the staff extremely courteous. In fact, the team knows me well enough to walk up and say, “Ma’am, the same order again?” — which reflects the comfort level and service consistency I appreciated. However, today’s experience was quite disappointing. The bill was presented with: • No discount • 5% service charge added I’ve never objected to the service charge earlier, keeping in mind the staff’s hospitality. But when I politely asked why the discount wasn’t applied, Mr. Viren responded rather abruptly that no such discount exists. When I explained that Vaibhav had offered it and that the staff had been honouring it on previous visits, his response was — “I have told Vaibhav not to give any discount.” The issue here is not the 10% discount at all — it is the tone and rudeness in handling a regular customer. The conversation lacked courtesy and basic service etiquette. For the first time, I felt compelled to ask for the service charge to be removed, purely because the experience did not reflect the hospitality I had always valued at Lavonne. It’s disheartening to see how warmly one staff member (like Vaibhav) builds customer relationships, while another interaction can undo that goodwill instantly. As a loyal and repeat guest, one expects at least politeness — if not preferential treatment. Experiences like this do impact the likelihood of continued frequent visits. Sadly, after today’s experience, I don’t see myself visiting the café again.

Someone has to be really really bad for me to not like them and they did a great job here . The worst experience we have had so far. Pathetic food, tasteless coffee nothing good about this place.
