We loved veg cutlet and filter coffee including rava dosa. Pranjal was coordinating with staff and very hospitable.

The place seems shady but reminds of nostalgia. Think of long ceilings, chandelier, booth style tables & post its on a wall for reviews. And the food is great

Service was excellent. KC is a very fine and polite waiting staff. It’s just a bit expensive I would say, may be 15% but overall great experience.

The only good thing there was medu vada, which was crispy. The manager however was trying to rush away as new customers were waiting outside. It was pretty weird.

the food quality has severely degraded over last couple of years. while the family is trying to revive the old charm, they are unable to provide any satisfactory food taste, hygiene or service. there have been reports of contaminated food earlier however in my experience, they do not pay heed to any requests for special needs as less spices. people with elderly family members or children try to avoid this place.

The service is good and the place is also okay ( established since 1934) . But didn’t like the food very much. The filter coffee is good (not the best ) but didn’t like the uttpam

The food was just okay, we had idli and vada, nothing worth talking about. The real problem is the staff. The person managing the floor is extremely irritating and borderline aggressive about the menu. He snatches it back within seconds, as if it’s some kind of gold asset. He kept coming back 4-5 times, not even letting us read properly. It honestly ruins the entire dining experience. The place itself is bizarre. It’s in the middle of Connaught Place, fairly large, but has no proper air conditioning. They just keep the door open and expect that to work. In Delhi heat, the whole place feels suffocating, like sitting inside a brick kiln. The staff is also completely rigid. We simply asked for rasam to be served separately instead of having the idli/vada dipped in it (which is literally on their menu), and they flat-out refused. No flexibility, no basic customer accommodation. We had to order rasam separately just because they wouldn’t agree to a simple request. Overall, the place feels unclean, uncomfortable, and poorly managed. Definitely not worth the hassle. Avoid this place- especially in summer.

Disappointed with this restaurant. ordered Mysore Masala dose. cost around 280 - it was 10cm *10*10 cm. which was extremely small. there was neglible filling. sambar was watered even though we were visiting during morning hours. coconut chutney was smelling and felt spoilt. filter coffee Rs 130 was again a disappointment and watered down. avoid at all cost. they are duping in the name of old structure. plates and glasses were dirty. table extremely sticky. Extremely poor service and vibes.

I ordered masala dosa and chilli potato, but the taste of the masala dosa was just average. However, the chilli potato was unacceptable as it had a strong rotten smell. When I brought this to their attention, they took the dish back, but shockingly, they still included it in the bill and insisted that I pay for it. I was disappointed with the quality of food and the unapologetic attitude of the staff. They forced to for that dish too
