Mjöl has become one of my absolute favourite places in the NCR. I end up going almost every Sunday without fail. Their weekend menu always has something new and interesting to try, and there are a few favourites I now order on repeat. It’s one of those rare spots where the food, vibe, and coffee all come together perfectly. I find myself dropping by even during the week, sometimes just for a cup of coffee, which is honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the city. Smooth, rich, and always spot on. Some of my go-to dishes include the Swedish meatballs (comforting and full of flavour), the slow-cooked pork sandwich (so satisfying), and the pork cranberry pie, which hits the perfect balance of savoury and sweet. The flourless chocolate bar is a must- rich, dense, and not too sweet, just how I like it. Most recently, I tried their shepherd’s pie, and it was incredible. The pastry was unbelievably flaky and melt-in-the-mouth, paired beautifully with the warm, well-seasoned filling. One of those dishes you keep thinking about long after it’s over. There’s something genuinely special about Mjöl. It’s thoughtful without being fussy, and the care they put into everything they serve really shows. Whether it’s a proper meal or just a quiet coffee break, it’s always a good experience.

Hot chocolate was spot on ! Unfortunately, pulled pork sandwich was anything but …. 4-5 lil cubes of pork (not shredded like it is meant to be) in between generously oiled salad leaves in the bun. Every time I took a bite, the pork kept slipping out ! Really difficult to eat. Not at all VFM. Best to stick to a beverage n a sweet treat, imo.

A small observation for anyone who’s lactose intolerant. I noticed that a few of Mjol’s coffee drinks (like the Café Bombon, Shakerato and Iced Thai Latte) use condensed milk as one of the ingredients. The menu also offers lactose-free milk as an add-on, but replacing the regular milk doesn’t remove the condensed milk, which is still dairy. So if you’re lactose intolerant (like me), it’s worth checking with the staff before ordering. Swapping to lactose-free milk doesn’t necessarily make the drink lactose-free. Not a complaint at all just something that could save someone else from making the same assumption I almost did. It might also be helpful if the menu clarified which drinks can’t be made fully lactose-free.

Ordered an Iced Latte with Oat Milk which was great, we were having a great time and were loving the ambience until the staff told us to leave within an hour of being seated because we didn’t order more stuff even though we asked for 10 minutes more to decide and order something. We were asked to leave twice, because there were others waiting. It was three of us and were already having our coffees, which were not even over when they came to ask us to leave. The staff needs to be trained in hospitality and should start taking reservations if its difficult to manage crowd.

Overhyped maybe. The food quality was average - very overpriced. The basil mozzarella pesto sandwich had so much pesto that it ruined my taste for hours!

Very normal food, super overpriced for what they give. Turkish eggs were disappointing to say the least. Desserts were decent though.

I used to travel nearly 20 km every weekend for this place because I genuinely believed they understood hospitality. Turns out, I was very wrong. One visit, the food was cold, stale and oily. I mentioned it politely and was argued with. I still came back, thinking it was a one-off. But the owner’s behaviour on my next visits made it clear the problem wasn’t the food, it was her. She approached me like expecting warm food is a crime. Today, even though the food was actually good, she stormed over and said, “By looking at your face it doesn’t look like you like it.” Impressive psychic abilities and customer service all in one. When I reminded her I had given a positive review earlier, she replied, “I don’t care, you may go ahead and change the review if you like.” At that point it became obvious: her goal was to humiliate me. Instead, she gave a perfect demonstration of zero emotional stability and an even lower ability to handle basic feedback. Some people can’t handle reality, and some definitely can’t handle running a business. I didn’t leave feeling humiliated just amazed at how fast she can turn a loyal customer into an ex-customer without even trying. The food can be decent. But the attitude? That’s the most consistently stale thing here. Hope my food wasn’t poisoned toady, as I am already feeling unwell after eating there

The service was extremely disappointing, and the manager, Roshan, showed a complete lack of basic etiquette. We requested a replacement for a dish as it was not prepared according to what we had ordered, but the staff was neither accommodating nor hospitable in handling the situation.

Coffee at cafe for 500 is stupid. The desserts were average or below - dry, heavy and tasteless. The savory was a joke - poor portion size and tasteless. The ambience was not conducive to a coffee shop, it felt like a QSR outlet of foreign food chain. The service was transactional.

For a place that boasts about its coffee and desserts in kind of surprised how people come back. The coffee was so acidic that the charm of the dessert also went away. Though the desserts were good but the coffee just killed the mood.
