Visiting Moti Mahal for butter chicken and breads is an annual ritual for me since last several years. I have been visiting this place since childhood and I have some exceptional fondness for their butter chicken. Some people may find faults with the preparation but for me it is the best on the planet and I have managed to take out atleast one day every year to visit this place alone for lunch in the last almost 10+years. I have had the opportunity to enjoy the evening ghazal nights also but not sure if they still have them as I visit now only for lunch. The staff is very courteous and so is the management and they have been doing a great job... I highly recommend it if you wish to have a non spicy and not too rich Butter Chicken which doesn't give a feeling of heaviness later. for me it is a 11 on 10

If someone ever wants to experience how a legendary name can be turned into a masterclass in disappointment, Moti Mahal – Daryaganj should be your first stop. Honestly, I’m still trying to understand how a restaurant can be this empty and yet still struggle to serve the only customer present. Maybe the emptiness wasn’t a coincidence after all. We ordered Chicken Nargasi and Chicken Achari, and let’s just say the dishes tasted like they were part of some experimental “expired-but-let’s-hope-no-one-notices” culinary challenge. The flavors were so off that I genuinely started questioning if this was supposed to be food or a practical joke we accidentally paid for. And speaking of paying,wow. The prices are so inflated that it feels like you’re funding a 5-star experience while receiving something that wouldn’t pass even in a college canteen kitchen. A true premium scam in the name of heritage, I suppose. To add to the thrill, there was only one staff member, who was multitasking between being unavailable and being too busy to notice the only table occupied. Amazing talent. Probably the only impressive part of the meal. Overall, if you ever want to feel cheated, ignored, underwhelmed, and overcharged,all at once—this place delivers it flawlessly. A memorable experience, just not for any right reason.

We went to the restaurant at 12:00 approx. the captains were least bothered or interested in attending the guests. rude facial expressions were received every time they were called for order. every single item had to be requested like spoons, bowls, dining plates after starters. The onions served to us were stale.. but we were told that "it can't be stale" Food was okay. Chicken Tikka was very good. however, the famous " butter chicken" was okay. I think I had better butter chicken elsewhere. daal tadka was without the tadka. Interestingly, things suddenly changed when the manager and the owner of the restaurant arrived. The change of behavior from captains was very evident. however, during billing, our captain literally made sure we voted them as best on zomato as they are nominated for best food. extremely unprofessional service and not expected from a place which is quite famous for serving celebrities. I guess, you have to be a celebrity yourself if you want decent treatment 😜

I was so disappointed with the quality of food and service when I had lunch today. The food was served cold and Chicken pulao was worst as per my experience. Moti Mahal is known for its signature dish "Butter Chicken".....but when I had ordered it, chicken was shredded into tiny pieces. When I enquired, the Manager told me......"Aisa he hota hai hamesha(it is like this always)" Team Moti Mahal, please take care.....as you own a legacy.

The butter chicken gravy was amazing. The chicken was not cleaned properly. Could see some blood on the bones. This could have been improved, but that was ok. Other items were also ok. One reason I gave a 1 * is their staffs forced all the people to vote for their restaurant.

Worst experience ever I ordered half butter chicken but owner was lier say I ordered full very rude behaviour and Food was very bad quality very bad experience please don’t come overrated place

Totally waste of time, money. Food was bad in taste. Worst experience. Visited with family for birthday celebration of my son. Everyones mood spoiled.. Dont teplyagain
