Our daughter had experienced delicious food at PLATS – the restaurant at Malviya Nagar, owned by chefs Hanisha Singh and Jamsheed Bhote; it was on her insistence that we travelled on Saturday, May 09 2026 from Gurgaon to savour the offerings. Fortunately, we had prebooked and were therefore, led to our seating area by a young lady from Mizoram. The place is not very large, but pretty well done, a tad muted. What strikes one is the eye for the detail – in selecting the plates, cutlery and bowls. Loved this. We left the ordering to Ria and Pratik (I’m anyway a typical Bong chilli chicken chowmein guy). First, on the table was PISCO Sour (pisco, egg whites, bitters, egg whites and simple syrup with bundles of ice) and PICANTE ( a heady mixture of Tequila, coriander,chilli,blanco and ice) – both were pretty much up to the taste. For the starters, we had BAKED BRIE ( Phyllo crisp and guava chutney and melba toadt), STICKY BARBEQUE PORK BELLY (a heavenly dish that came with potatoes, charred onion and apple puree) and ROASTED BONE MARROW ( bone marrow in garlic, onion, pickled mustard shallots and celery served on the bone with melba toast – a first for us). On to mains – BRAISED AND PULLED LAMB CRUMBED STEAK (a large portion of pulled lamb, alongwith caramelized onion and mint with toast), and STUFFED CHICKEN STEAKPRESSE (chicken that was stuffed with Morel mushrooms, charred greens with mashed potatoes with a special red wine jus) and MOJO ROAST PORK CUBANNO (smoked ham and cheese and pressed chiabata) – all delicious and filling. All five of us were full to the brim, but the dessert selection was impossible to put down – we settled for a TROPICAL PAVLOVA and the signature PLATS TARTE TATIN A wonderful lunch I must say – most of the orderings were newforme

The food was great. Ordered the shroom bombs, chicken steak and charcoal grilled scallion chicken. The chickens were tender and flavourful. The bombs had a crusty exterior with a gooey filling inside. Would highly recommend them. Also had cocktails and they were ok. All in all a great dining experience.

The food was fantastic except for charred broccoli which underdone and flavours didn’t come together. Shroom buns, baked brie, aglio olio linguine, veggie burger were top notch. But the star of the show was Berry Pavlova

Really good food and an amazing chef! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can really taste the chef’s effort in every dish. Highly recommended!

Brilliant food . Went there just to have a quick birthday dinner and it was absolutely wonderful. Great variety overall , will visit again . The pavlova is SOOO GOOOD.

The food was terrible! The Shroom Bun was cold and not appetising. The broccoli was too spicy. Out of the vegetarian platter, the only decent item was the potato. Mains were worse. I ordered the ravioli, which came as an oversized piece. It was tasteless. I was shocked to see someone go wrong with tiramisu. The cream indicated that no mascarpone was used. The crepes in between did not work at all, and gave a gummy texture. On top of that, the chocolate sauce tasted terrible. Very disappointed. Not worth the cost and travel time.
