Sumo Restaurant, Majnu Ka Tilla – A Culinary Delight Sumo Restaurant is a must-visit for sushi and momo lovers in Majnu Ka Tilla. The elegant and vibrant ambiance enhances the dining experience, while the food speaks for itself. I tried the Dynamite Prawn Sushi, Pork Steamed Momo, Chilli Pork Gravy, and Tigmo—each dish was crafted to perfection. The sushi was crisp and flavorful, the momo exceptionally juicy, and the pork gravy rich and satisfying. The staff’s warm hospitality added to the experience. For those seeking authentic flavors and impeccable service, Sumo Restaurant is highly recommended.

The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and situated in the lanes of MKT. the food that gave us most satisfaction was the hot pot with glass noodles, vegetables and dimsums, without condiments it might be bland for Many but you always have condiments provided by them which enhances the flavour. Sushi (veg) was also a great addition for us. Overall, the food was a solid 4/5 and the staff was extremely polite and helpful.

The ambience is okayish. Cost and has seating arrangement in a basement like area. Coming to the food- quality and quantity was pretty good! Loved the cheese garlic chicken wantons. Those were perfectly juicy and cheesy. The pork ramen had perfect meat:fat portion and quantity was too much for a single person.

We ordered pork steam momos, buff and bokchoy stir fry, pork ramen. While the pork momo was fine but the buff plum was very chewy and pork was undercooked in the ramen. Needs major improvement in quality of food

Paid 345/- for 3 pieces, It was so similar to Gupta Burger that costs 20/- a burger. Same taste, same sauces not worth for this much price.

⚠️ Absolutely appalling and unacceptable experience. ⚠️ We went to this so-called restaurant and clearly ordered a VEG sushi and a COTTAGE CHEESE (paneer) bao bun. We repeated the order carefully so there was no confusion. When the food finally arrived, we each took a small bite—only to realise with utter horror that the bao was NOT paneer at all but chicken. We’re both strict vegetarians. My friend is Jain —imagine the trauma of suddenly biting into meat, something we have never eaten in our lives, and NEVER wanted to. It was genuinely sickening, shocking, and deeply violating. We immediately told the manager—who did not even apologise. No remorse, no empathy. All he did was blandly say “Sir I’ll replace the food, please sit” as if feeding someone meat against their wishes was a minor inconvenience. Frankly, I don’t think this was a one-off mistake. It felt like they didn’t care at all, or worse, like they’ve done this before. There was zero accountability. It’s absolutely disgraceful that a restaurant can’t even respect basic dietary restrictions, religious practices, or human decency. It’s not “just food”—it’s about consent and respect for people’s beliefs. This was a traumatising experience for us, and the cold, indifferent attitude of the staff only made it worse. If you’re vegetarian, vegan, Jain, or have any dietary restrictions at all—AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They need to learn that a simple “replacement” is not enough after violating someone’s core beliefs. I hope they face real consequences for this level of negligence and disrespect.

I have been ordering quite a few times from this restaurant, the quantity and the quality WAS always good. However, this is the second time i hove continuously faced an issue. The earlier one was resolved very sweetly, however, I would like to take this out to notify the owners of this place. I had ordered crispy veg today, and it was literally so spicy (which never used to), but I somehow managed to eat it with mayo. After some hours my whole digestive system feels like burning. This is so harmful for anyone’s health. I sincerely request to pass on this complaint to your chef, so that it doesn’t get repeated again with someone else. (To just tell you, I have a high spice tolerance, so just imagine how spicy would have it been, that I had to mix a chinese item with mayo, destroying its original taste) Thanks.

Poorest dining experience I have ever had. Firstly beer (Summer Cooler as per menu) was served at room temp. Ice came 10 mins later. Service was pathetic. Wrong order was served. Kothe Momos and Noodles were dripping oil. Restaurant declined to accept payment on Swiggy Dineout app but finally accepted upon my insistence. Besides AC on GF wasn't working and basement seating was below par with dirty upholstery. Highly avoidable place.
