Very nice place love the ambience, the staff is excellent and very attentive, The downside is their manager Debarati Paul she is rude to customers and is extremely adamant, she lacks basic customer service skills, no knowledge of her trade, plus she is very egoistic and can ask you leave anytime without even finishing your drink or meal. Never going back again.

I went here with my family, it was my mom’s birthday. We ordered paneer tikka, chicken tikka and drinks. The ambience and the food was really good. High ceilings gave the hotel a very royal look. All together it was a great experience and a evening worth remembering.

A great place to go to hang out post work or on the weekend. The best time to go would be late october - February as the outdoor seating is pleasant and they have a sort of tiny fire 🔥 burning in the center which adds to the classy ambience.

We visited your café, Melthouse/ The Library, this morning with our two daughters (aged 15 months) and two elder children (5 years old). What was meant to be a pleasant outing turned into an incredibly disappointing experience, thanks to the unacceptable behaviour of your manager, Sanchit. Upon requesting a table, we were told it was reserved for the owner’s friend, Mr. Sanjeev, for 11:00 AM. It was already 11:15 AM and the said guest hadn’t arrived. Meanwhile, another table became available, and seeing our young children, the previous guests kindly vacated quickly. Just as we were settling in, Mr. Sanjeev showed up, and to our utter shock, Sanchit handed over OUR table to him—not the one supposedly reserved for him. When we questioned this clear act of preferential treatment, Sanchit unapologetically stated: “Mr. Sanjeev is my guest and I will give him the option and preference.” This was not just unprofessional—it was outright rude, unethical, and showed zero regard for us as customers. Despite being with small children, we were treated with complete indifference. When I asked for the owner’s contact to report this unacceptable conduct, he refused to share it. Avoid going to Melthouse / The Library if you’re not on their ‘special guest’ list. Regular customers are treated with disdain, while only personal connections receive respect. We left and visited The Grammar Room instead—what a contrast! We were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. Our kids were treated with affection and care—something your team clearly needs to learn. Perhaps it’s time for your staff to take a few lessons in basic hospitality from The Grammar Room. Because right now, Melthouse/ The Library is failing miserably.

Extremely partial and clueless staff and management. It all started with wanting to book a section, and we were willing to pay the deposit too. Kept saying no , and eventually booked at a higher deposit. Once we reach there, there was already a section booked by a family so they definitely just act pricey. Moving forward, we requested a song (by weeknd) which they denied. 10 minutes later we see a 12 year old boy( FROM THE OTHER SECTION), operating music and playing bijlee in library bar! LOL. He kept changing songs without any transition and the vibe was so pathetic. The staff still unapologetic. This place should be called chandini bar and not library bar. PS: Isn't it illegal to allow kids in a bar?

We went their late night on a weekend, and the place was buzzing. However, taking advantage of the late hours, the server overcharged each and every person while tapping the cards. Unfortunately we realised it very late, when one of our friends pointed out. The server made emmends for that particular order. However, we easily paid 3 times the amount, on every card swipe prior to that. You dont expect this type of cheating in a place like Leela. I seriously feel that this should be taken up, and the staff should be fired.

They should not take table bookings on Zomato if they are not going to honour it. Staff only at the Library bar is unlike a 5 star hotel let alone a Leela property. The place sadly in the last 2 years has become a cheap bar with rude staff and bad service completely opposite of how they started the place. This can also be seen from the low ratings on Zomato by customers in the last 2 years.

Their bartenders are quite incompetent, they don’t know how to make a simple mezcalita and they didn’t even give us ice with our drinks. We kept waiting for the server to get back to us and her simply never did. Their service and drinks are pathetic. Ps. There is one female bartender who was unfortunately on leave, she’s good at making cocktails; the rest are useless
