I think there is food and then there is ITC The Royal Afghan food. I have never had a better prawn dish, chicken dish and kulf. But ofcourse the star of the show was dal bukhara. And their hospitality was amazing. Thanks to Sahil for all the hospitality.

We had a great dinner at Royal Afghan, served by Sahil and Abhishek, who were friendly and warm. The food and ambience was amazing.

They need to up their game on two fronts(Ambience & Hospitality) if not three(Variety of Food- conscious call). 1) As a mix group of Veg and Non Veg group, felt the restaurant was over powered by smell of Non Veg the moment you enter just like very average restaurants we would have seen in Tier 2 cities exclusively famous for Non Veg only. This made some of the veg members of the group uncomfortable who were there to enjoy Dal Bukhara. 2) For non veg surprisingly they didnt have any main course in Mutton other then Mutton Raan usually suited for 5ish people. So if you are single one to crave for Mutton or need variety in mutton, its not for you 3) There is a thin line between taking pride in the limited menu vs being arrogant about it. it felt inclined to the second more with zero flexibility in a 5 star to cover for no option in Mutton Main Course 4) There were flies in the restaurant. Smell, Flies in the restaurant. Where am I? at a eatery outside railway station or Grand Bharat!? 5) There was this guy probably not happy with his job who was constantly blabbering around his service desk which due to small size of the Restaurant was also audible to us A very below avg experience all in all

One of the worst experiences with ITC. The food is pretty average but the serving staff is the reason why I would never revisit. We visit the golf course often and have dined at this place twice during our stay there. Both the experiences were disappointing. The serving staff does not have basic courtesy or manners. They took my drink while I was in the middle of having it, I had to ask for it back. You have to ask them 3-4 times to get cutlery or to serve food. The staff is extremely rude. They keep interrupting the guests after every 2-3 minutes, it is impossible to have a conversation or have a good time. Despite being asked to leave us alone they keep coming to your table to either take one half finished drink or one plate. They take the utensils away while people are still eating! They won’t even give plates to have dessert. Basically, their standard is of any regular cafe in Delhi NCR. The staff especially has made me despise the place.

Considering the food is average, you at least expect them to focus on hospitality. However, it was disappointing. The servers have no manners and don’t have much training. They constantly keep interrupting and it feels as if we are dining with the servers. I was in the middle of having my drink and they came and took it away, I actually had to ask for my drink back. They do the same with your plates. Basically, constant interruptions if you are trying to enjoy with friends and family or trying to have a conversation. On top of that they argue back. Overall, bad attitude and would definitely not revisit the place.
