Please let me know! I'm unable to find that it is expensiver than other CCD outlets and way much not a little bit....... so, how come?

I specially sought out CCD Square at CP today because I used to be a regular here. It was this cafe that once introduced me to specialty, single-origin coffees from around India and the world. Today, not only does the ambience and menu look tired and worn out, but the service is atrocious too. The menu looks like it has gone through years of negligence & Strong machine wash cycles. Our first few choices from it weren’t even available. Clearly, they can’t be bothered about printing a new one. The wait staff talked patronisingly to me when I inquired about their specialty beans for a Flat White. Only one variety out of the three on the menu was available. Leaving me no choice whatsoever. When I asked why, he said there was no supply and went on to explain how changing the bean would have no impact; it would still be a Flat White. What then is the USP of a CCD Square — with its premium rates — over a regular CCD if one has no choice of specialty beans? And what kind of a cafe says that changing the coffee bean from a Mysore one to an Ethiopian one will have no impact on the coffee?? I eventually didn’t order the coffee because I didn’t like the sound of the beans they had and the staff’s behaviour had put me off entirely. It got worse. The staffer persuaded my partner to add chocolate syrup to her cold coffee even when she didn’t really want it — and then curtly said that would be an extra Rs 50. We repeated we didn’t want chocolate in our cold coffee. Five mins later, he returned and told us the machine had developed problems and there wouldn’t be any coffee for an indefinite period. There was no hint of apology or any promise about brewing us a cup. (Now that I’ve gone through the other reviews here, I suspect that this may have been a pretence to kick us out of there since we were ordering just one thing — that too without the add-on chocolate.) We left without a single cup of coffee at what used to be my favourite cafe. An hour later, we walked into a fully thriving rival cafe that delivered our orders promptly and made no menu promises that it couldn’t keep. It also threw no shade at us for our choices.

Worst service. Pradeep Kumar the server was super rude to me and my wife. He doesn’t know how to speak or behave with guests. We ordered a dish which didn’t came till 30 minutes. On enquiring with the server who turned out to be Pradeep, he said why you ordered one dish and asked us to leave the restaurant. Despite us saying we were anyways going to order other later he said leave. Also where the hell is a rule which states you need to order 2 items if 2 folks are there? We said show this is in writing, he said this is our internal rule. Please fire this guy. He is ruining your brand by being rude and abusive. Attached is the photo of the server. Also complaint has been mentioned in the complaint book. Do have a look there as well. Also he is such a person who eavesdrop on other conversations as well. Saw him listening to multiple guests conversation and intentionally standing just next to the seats for 4-5 minutes without any reason.

Bad service. Me and my friends went to this place and wanted to have just light snacks as we ordered peri peri potatoes wedges the waiter went at back discussed with fellow waiters and i saw them smirking. He came back telling us that they don't have it so we switched to cheesy nachos then a different waiter came and told it's not available and he wanted us to order sandwich or some drink which we were not interested in having also he said the nachos will take an hour and we can't stay there without ordering any drinks. I find it absurd that the waiter themselves will decide what food we are interested in having, like can they force us to eat something we don't want. I have never experienced such rude behaviour. Please i would strongly advice you to never go. They are the ones who are bringing brand name of CCD down.

I visited this restaurant yesterday - on a Sunday and didn’t have a pleasant experience at all! First the menu part - not just iced tea, all mock tails were out of stock. With options so less, we thought of ordering only one drink but were told that one drink is not permitted. The service guy was so rude that he even told us to move and go to a nearby ccd if we wanted to order only one drink even when almost the whole cafe was empty. At last when we ordered two frappes, it was so so sweet, even without the ice cream. Didn’t know that ccd square’s quality and service had gone down the drain in recent times! #sad

The waiter (Sarthak or Parth) kept insisting on ordering atleast two items since we were three people and kept saying there are people waiting and we can’t just occupy three seats for one coffee. On trying to politely find our more, he pointed out that its “common sense” to order atleast two items if there are three people on one table. This is the first time I have heard of such a rule. Shame shame shame. Horrible experience at CCD. Will never visit any of their branches again.

The staff here is arrogant. Within 10 min of our arrival, the guy asked for order 4 times. To start with, we ordered 1 devil’s own, until we decide more. He said we do not accept single orders, if you are occupying 4 seats then you order 4 items or minimum 2. Or else you have to pay 299/- per person to sit here.

The manager stuti is extremely arrogant and rude. She started shouting in the cafe when we complained to her about the AC not working in the huddle room for which we were charged double than the menu price listed. Whoever owns this place, needs to change the manager. Super rude!

horrible place for tea and coffee. dirty and stinking washroom. bad service. stupidly high priced. will never visit this place again.
