The senior crew member serving us at Vasant Kunj Social was named Manish. I’m not sure if he was having a particularly bad day or if this is his usual way of working, but the service experience was honestly disappointing and needs mention. Even for basic things like water, we had to remind him repeatedly — almost 5–6 times — before it was finally brought. We were initially seated at a dirty table, and despite requesting multiple times for it to be cleaned, there was no response until I finally had to scold him. When he eventually cleaned it, he did it so hurriedly and roughly that crumbs and dust fell onto my dress. He seemed completely unaware of how inappropriate that was. I did point it out to him, and to his credit, he later came and apologized. Similarly, even simple requests like getting ice had to be repeated several times. On top of that, the online QR ordering system did not process our order properly, so we had to wait again for the order to be manually placed. The food this time was honestly quite average as well, which was surprising because Social has always been one of our go-to places anywhere in Delhi. The ambience and crowd are always great, which is why this experience stood out even more negatively. I do not necessarily want to make a harsh complaint against him personally, because I understand people can have difficult days, but the service quality genuinely needs improvement and I felt it was important to share this feedback.
