We tried the famous thali and it was nothing short of disappointing. The taste was very basic and the dishes were quite simple, and lacked flavours. Chicken was bland too. We tried another dish from their special monsoon menu and it was full of overcooked methi seeds that made the whole food bitter. Service was slow and the servers were hardly paying attention to anyone. They were mostly busy generating the bills and getting rid of customers.

I only liked the tiramisu we ordered at last. It was perfect and a saviour after the worst kothe momo and laphing i ever had. Kothe momo tasted okayish, no taste or flavour that stood out. Laphing was weirdly flavoured and way too spicy. And after yesterday’s food i also got sick. Maybe because i’m not used to this much spicy or who knows.

I ordered the chicken thali, and the chicken curry lacked real flavour nothing that stood out. The steamed rice was okay, the biggest disappointment was the Assamese pork curry. Being from Assam myself, I know what this dish should taste like, and this one didn’t live up to its name at all. Overall, everything on the plate lacked flavor

The service was definetely average with reminders being made to the servers, and the quality of the food being nowhere close to what should be expected from such an establishment. The Thupka in particular was hands down disappointing. Charging a significant markup of 5x for beverages and requiring reminders to be made to the servers, is a complete mismatch between what the patrons deserve and what they are being given in return. At this point leaving a 1 star rating for my experience also appears to be gracious.

I’m extremely disappointed this time. Pork thakali thali I had has given me a stomach bug. The sweet dish had an insect but it was promptly changed. Even the Kingfisher Ultra beer I had was different and had sweeter taste. I’ve always loved Yeti given I’m from Darjeeling myself. Extremely disappointed. I’m now on antibiotics for the next five days.

The service was pathetic. Extremely slow and inefficient staff. Spotted 2 cockroaches near our table.
