I went to ooty last weekend. This restaurant was just adjacent to our hotel. First time we had delivery order. We ordered veg fried rice, chilli chicken, veg hakka noodles. I think I ate after 8 hours. You know eating outside is a risk. But it happened to be a good experience. Food was very tasty. I felt hakka noodles was bit slow. I didn't felt any flavour except oil and salt. But rice and chicken were damn tasty. Since we were eating after 8 hours we jumped like monkeys. 🤣🤣. We were so happy that we ordered same thing again. Next day we went to restaurant ourselves for dinner. We ate garlic chicken, nan, aloo paratha, paneer paratha, chicken lollipop and kadai chicken and everyone liked it. Since it was weekend perhaps or because tourist season, restaurant was fully packed. I felt resturant was okay seeing the crown they were handling. It is small restaurant in small town serving good food. Although I read in many reviews, they faced problem with waiters, we didn't had any. Infact, they were very helpful and knowledgable about food. They talked politely. And food was also served on time ( seeing d crowd) . Overall, I had nice experience. I loved Chilli chicken dry the most. If you are going to ooty and scared like me that if I eat wrong food my mood will be spoiled,I recommend this restaurant. I hope and wish atleast it won't spoil your mood.

Ooty is definitely a place to go with low expectations in terms of food. Luckily this time we had a good experience. Madras Rasoi is a somewhat new outlet - cosy and packed. We had Malabar chicken curry with Kerala parotas. Was tasty. The default chicken biryani we were expecting was the Thalassery style Malabar Biryani as quite a few of the eateries here serve Malabar food. But what we were served was a bit dry Andhra style Biryani though the taste was okayish. Chicken pieces were ok too. The accompaniments were raita and some strange fishy salan. They did give us another big bowl of different gravy on request. Don’t know about desserts but we washed the food down with lots of ice-cream (Kwality walls). Service is quick and to the point. They give you a clear picture of the time it would take to serve the food. Good for a quick lunch.

We tried Chicken Dum boryani and Chiken boneless biryani. Chicken Dum biryani was good. However boness biryani was bad and chicken pieces were not tender.

Hi There,This is the worst experience you can get in any hotels in entire ooty. There where no customers at all. we went fr an holiday in ooty . the hotel looked decent from out with parking space so we gave a try. ordered biryani which was half cooked.. but we didnt complaint.. asked for hot water frm the time we entered the hotel but an as**ole server was rude and behaving as if he is doing some free service fr us...everytime we have to literallly call him thrice who will b just standing idle before us and none was there other thaan us.. third time we said the water u served is not even warm but its cold so could u serve us hot water.. its common in places like oooty to serve hot water even in roadside tea shops...wen asked...the server who is young but rude to the core just questioned me back, this is the water we have and i cant give u hot water..what do u want me to do? we had a quarrrel nd he was shouting at his peak voice ...i never expected such a behaviour frm a server and as i dont want to spoil our day so we just left the place.though .being a localite frm CBE as well m an press reporter...we didnt eat the food...just paid the bill at the reception..atleast the female in the reception was humble enough to listen to us and she apologized too...but that doesnt makes any change..our appetite and mood was spoiled coz of this server as**ole... it was a pathetic experience and to my surprise i just get to see similar complaints on this hotel on this server guy and their hospitality and food as well.. but i promise next time to visit and if the same server was der...it will be and ugly day for all and particularly the server as**ole. consider my rating  minus!!! never try this hotel and waste ur trip and time!!!...

The quality of service and food is below standard. First of all they asked us to wait for table and later on they gave the table to someone who came after us. This shows how the restaurant is poorly managed. Secondly, there is one person to take the order and serve. After taking the order he said it will take 30 mins for the food to arrive whereas it took around 45 mins. And we got the wrong order too. We did not want to replace the order as it would take another 45 mins. This shows the restaurant is understaffed. Thirdly there were no tissues in the entire restaurant nor there was any soap for handwashing. Quality of food: Though they have advertised that everything is freshly made by nice the order is placed, PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE IT. The bread they serve will taste like it is heated in the microwave or the tawa as it was very chewy. The chicken and the paneer in the curry will be chewy as well which means that they are not serving fresh food. Please do not visit this place. Pathetic experience.

we have placed the order and after one hour u cancelled the why....what's the reason now there is no option left with us at this time....it's really very bad that means ur service is not proper...because of u we hv to sleep without food now who will provide us food we r tourist at this place and because of your bad service we hv to sleep without the food...really very disgusting

Have packing space and wash room, nice ambience, food is not great. It's same rice either you order veg pulao or mutton biryani, same with gravy standard onion gravy for all preparations. Serving time is too much. Order all items initially itself coz running order they will serve along with bill.

The place looks decent from outside but the story starts unfolding once you enter the restaurant. The impolite staff, bad hygiene, greasy utensils, and the list seems never ending. Please save your money, mental peace, and appetite by not having food here.

worst experience ever. Not even worth 1 star. Waiter was extremly impolite and over sold the food which was pathetic. Food was extremly oily and one gravy for every thing.
