This is one place in Ooty which i will love to go over and over again. This one of the old coffee house but the food here we had was the most authentic and tasty local one. The place is situated on the 1st floor right in the market and we practically went each morning at the opening hours for breakfast. All the menu served here was worth trying and it satisfied our taste buds to the fullest. We had PURI BHAJI IDLI VADA SAMBAR MINI TIFFINS PONGAL FILTER COFFEE All of which are at their very best. I visited many restaurants in Ooty after this but barely anyone could match the authenticity that this place has

Located in the main market this one is a must visit for all tourists. Ambience is Nothing to talk about with simple chair and tables it is a no non sense place serving just brilliant South Indian delicacies. We had Dosa, Idli, uttpam and filter coffee and everything was spot on. Pocket friendly place with perfect taste is what OCH is all about. Note:- The place is located on the first floor with little steep stairs but it's worth the climb

A must visit to try the local flavour. We went there on our first evening in Ooty and found it to be very popular among the locals for evening snacks. Nothing to mention specifically about the ambience as it is like any common eatery.( Neither similar to the ambience of Calcutta Coffee House as well) But the food tastes great. Specially the Rawa dosa was awesome. It was so fine and crispy that we couldn’t resist to order another one. The coconut chutney was the real star. There was a punch of flavours.... flavours of coriander, chilli and curry leaves all were perfectly blended together. Obviously it was much different in taste from the chutney that we usually get here in Kolkata.Even the masala ( the filling of the dosa) had its own twist. We ordered Uttapam too as they claimed it to be their specialty. But honestly speaking, didn’t find any difference between the one we taste here.In Ooty, we found two things typical whenever we ordered coffee. One is the serving style. It will be offered to you in a small stainless steel glass put in another cute small steel bowl. The second one is that it will be very very sweet . So if you want it to be less sweet ask for “without sugar” tea or coffee. It will still come with a little bit of sweetness which you’ll find okey for you .

Food is good and at affordable prices. The Menu has nothing new to it, nor do they accommodate requests for any changes in any dish. Coffee disappointed a little, but if you are a true fan of dosas, this place will do. They charge Rs 10 for extra sambar, even if its Idli you have ordered which is kinda a downer.

Would rate this place better than average in taste but not great as I had better tasting sambhar in different coffee houses in India and south Indian restaurants. Dosa tasted good but it was crumbled. Menu is pasted on walls so would recommend to make your choice from there. Expect a quick but may be not so courteous service. Staff can speak some Hindi and English. Although the timing says open till 10:30 pm I would advise to visit latest by 8 pm as although they have a variety in menu but is not available later in evening and you will have to be content with masala dosa and service is also haphazard at time of closing which is about 9-15-9:30 pm.
