Tried the Ala carte dinner & since the place is located on hill the driver was having difficulty to reach place due to narrow road .

We were out up at Sterling Resort for the first part of our Ooty sojourn & by virtue of that we made it  point to have most of our meals there, the service was very efficient most of the time, Srichand the restaurant  manager was very good & ensured things were under control, the breakfast spread was good , the south indian dishes could be better, tired a lot of the dishes for lunch & dinner & the best was the tandoori chicken, best to avoid the fish as our experience was not very good, the views are excellent & the ambience is first class

Our stay at the Sterling resort was quite comfortable and the rooms are quite big and luxurious. Thought we didn't like the food much that we had there. The starter was nothing to talk about, manchow soup was decent and the Chinese was also fine. Over all the pricing are little high for resorts like Sterling as mostly members visit this place but still it's expensive.

this is a huge hotel, but the restaurant's condition is pathetic. they had to look for at least 10 chairs to find one which is not dirty. poor service, even poor food. they serve Al a carte from the buffet servings. Ajwain fish tikka was the only dish which was good. we spent 4400 rs for lunch of 3. 2 starters, 3 dishes in total for mains. road side food would have been better than the food they serve.

Unhygienic!! The washroom is dirty. Unorganised. The all day menu is not served in entirety. they will tell you that most things aren't available!
