►Overview: "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well if one has not dined well" - This famous quote came into my mind after getting down from Sultan of Flavours. We were here last Sunday for having their lunch buffet. They have recently started a buffet system and it will be available on Fridays and on weekends. On Fridays, they will provide buffet for dinner and on weekends both lunch and dinner buffet will be available. The price of the buffet is Rs 349 per person inclusive of taxes. Sultan of Flavours is a multi-storeyed restaurant. Either you can opt for the ala carte system which is located on the ground floor. The buffet is provided on the first floor inside " Grill Room". Currently, it's a season for football enthusiasts as ISL is happening. They are also providing live screening of ISL matches via the projector on the second floor. One can enjoy watching the matches along with having good food. The parking space is ample and one can park their vehicle either in front of the restaurant or there is a separate dedicated space for car parking which is located adjacent to the restaurant. The restaurant mainly emphasizes on lunch and dinner as they open at 11 am every day and goes till midnight. The main highlights of the restaurant are (i) Live Fish counter (ii) Banquet Hall (iii) Outdoor Catering (iv) Open Barbeque. These placards can be noticed at the entrance of the restaurant. There is a separate section for tea/coffee called 'Chayakada' located at the entrance where one can step in to have a quick tea/coffee instead of going inside. ►Menu: The Menu for the buffet will be dynamic and it will be different for each day. There will be slight changes in a few of the dishes but overall it will be similar and maintains the pattern for the buffet. Our Menu for the day was : ◘Welcome Drink - Chocolate Milkshake ◘Starters on Table - (1) Grilled Paneer                      (2) Grilled Aloo                      (3) Tandoor Platter (Chicken) - They provided 3 variants of starters in chicken. One was of hariyali type which was green in colour. The second one was of tandoori type and there was one more variant which didn't contain any masalas on it.  (4) Grilled Prawns ◘Salads: Honey Glassed Salad Green Salad Garlic Mayo Salad (Contains Egg) ◘Breads: Kerala Paratha Butter Roti ◘Main Course Chicken Biriyani Szechwan Egg Fried Rice Plain Rice Kappa and Chammandhi ◘Non Veg Dishes in Main Course: Syrian Christian Fish Curry Squid Thenga Kothu Kadai Chicken ◘Veg Dishes in Main Course: Paneer Pepper (Semi Gravy) Veg Khurma Sambar Rasam Dal Fry Thoran ◘Accompaniments: Pappad Pickle Raitha Curd Uppilittathu (Varieties) ◘Desserts: Carrot Halwa Palada Payasam Vanilla Ice Cream In my opinion, their spread was really impressive and I must say that it was totally worth for Rs 349. We will never get these many items anywhere for Rs 349. I hope the management will neither increase the buffet rate nor cut down the items in the list ;) as it is recently launched. I have never seen this combination of Chicken Biriyani and Fried Rice coming together for a buffet anywhere else in any of the restaurants and I was really surprised and happy to see that. Thanks to the management for including these 2 items on that day and it really made my day. ►Place: The place is immaculate and well maintained. We were seated on the first floor ( Grill Room) where the buffet was provided. Everything is clean and well maintained including the washrooms. It gave us a calm and chilling environment inside the Grill Room as we had to take a long walk to reach here and that too under the scorching heat. ►Service: Their service was impeccable. Special Thanks to their manager Mr.Prashanth. Prashanth was very courteous, prompt and attentive in catering to our needs. He even came along with us and navigated us to the grill room when we reached the ground floor as we are coming here for the first time. He was curious to know the feedback from us and ensured that we are having a great time dining here. Thank you so much, Prashanth for your top-notch hospitality. A very special mention to the owner of this restaurant. He was there in the buffet place at the time of our visit. He even came and asked us whether any particular starter needs to be repeated over the absence of other stewards. I was really astonished to see that. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We all had a great time having lunch from here. ►My Culinary Delight:  The spread was vast so I couldn't try most of their dishes especially the veg ones as I specifically came here to try their non-veg items. I had tried their Chicken Biriyani, Szechwan Egg Fried Rice, Kadai Chicken, Kerala Paratha, Squid Thenga Kothu, Syrian Christian Fish Curry, Starters, Paneer Pepper, Chocolate Milkshake and the dessert items except for Vanilla Icecream. Everything was good. Squid Thenga kothu was really good and it was something unique which I have seen on the buffet menu. I felt it had more number of thenga kothu than the squid pieces. Squid pieces were all minced into miniatures and it tasted really great. The dish was embellished with curry leaves. The biriyani too tasted scrumptious and it contained a good number of big pieces. Luckily I managed to get 2 good leg pieces which I normally won't get in a bowl of biriyani. The biriyani offered was our typical  Malabar Biriyani. Another star item of the day was the fish curry. I think the fish used was Neymeen (Seer Fish) bu not sure though. The level of piquancy was apt and it was a perfect combination to have with the Kerala Meals. Starters were all equally good but it was confined to Chicken, Prawns and Panner but considering the amount for what we are paying it was really worth. Coming to the Desserts Section they offered Chocolate Milkshake first as our welcome drink. The taste was luscious and we even ordered another set of glasses and they gave us as per our request with a happy face.. :). The closing of the buffet was 3:00 pm and at that time we were still battling with the main course. The staffs took the leftovers of the palada inside and refilled it with the freshly made palada payasam for us. We were so happy to have the freshly prepared palada  along with the carrot halwa as both were equally luscious.  Overall we had great buffet experience from here. ►Verdict: According to me ,Sultan of Flavours is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Palakkad to dine in with family and friends. Their Buffet is really pocket-friendly and it is the best budget buffet in Palakkad. I hope they will retain this buffet system without increasing the rate or cutting down the number of items from the list. Sultan of Flavours is definitely a tough competitor for Noor Jehan Open Grill Restaurant as the latter also follows the same pattern of buffet system with a slightly higher price and it is excluding of tax. It was really worth visiting this place and I would  highly recommend everyone to try their buffet.

Visited this place with family. Ambience is simple and well done up. The food was awesome and tasty. Idukki Gold and Coconut Grill chicken were the standout for me. Allepy fish curry was flavourful too. You can even choose a live fish and get it cooked to your liking. Overall an excellent place to dine. The cost was reasonable as well. Please note that they have the middle east/Arabian starters listed on the last page.

Great place for lunch and dinner. Good food and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Live fish is available which is a first in palakkad. Previously this was flavours restaurant, renovated and relaunched by a new management as Sultan of flavours. Recommended

5 star for the ambience and 4 star for the food. Sultan of flavor’s is a good hangout space with family n friends for fine dining. They have spacious seating and descent car parkinh facility. One and only restuarant in Palakkad introduced Live fish. You can catch your own fish to grill / fry. They have good menu with much varieties. “ Idukki gold “ in starters is a must try. Unfortunately we didn’t got during our dinner because of high demand. We tried their newly introduced “ Forky chicken “, its a full chicken fried ( broasted type ). The dish inspired by Toy story forky character. We tried their Peri Peri Al faham it was also good. Butter chicken was average, need to improve more. Cocunut grill chicken in starters also a good try. Overall it was a good fooding experienced comparing the price they

Had ordered online food. Wanted to try the different menu food options. Taste - 3.5/5 Menu - 4/5 Delivery - 3/5 Cost effective - 3.5/5 Food - 3/5 In a place like Palakkad, I was finding something different food options and just this restaurant popped up. Since the menu options are quite different, we ordered food and to our surprise, the food was fresh and tasty. Recommended!!!

To be honest I was a huge fan of this place! I just used to love the food that they served here in its initial days! But the quality has seriously dropped from that point! The amazing taste and most of all many dishes have also vanished from the menu! The ambience is good nd well maintained! Once I had this triple fried rice from the place which turned out to be amazing! Other than I actually do not remember most of the dishes from the place! As of now they should really improve their food for sure! Way to go!
