This iconic place needs no introduction to Patnaites. This has been a one of its kind of a place serving flavorful South Indian dishes to the people here since long. During my latest visit few days ago, I was just in heaven while trying out the Butter Onion Uttapam. Along with that I also tasted the Chana Bhatura and Sweet Lassi. The Chhola provided along with Bhaturas were also devine in taste. Lassi could have been a little better but overall it was a good lunch. And service from the staff there has always been great. Whenever I visit this place, I am completely satisfied.

Patronised this outlet ever since it opened in late 80s/ early 90s during my Patna stay for a few years and had an occasion to visit the restaurant again last week after a gap of about a quarter of a century. While a lot of new dishes have been added to the menu and the general ambience remains good, I was badly disappointed with the quality of the South Indian food items that I ordered. Too much salt in everything. Nobody bothered even after pointing it out, perhaps a sense of defiance originating from crowds thronging the place.

We have been going to this restaurant for years - perhaps 2 decades, in my memory. It’s always been our “go-to” for South Indian food in Patna. And while it is meant to be a quick, cheap place for consistently good food, today’s visit was appalling. The kitchen is in an absolutely pathetic state. It is dirtier than can be explained. The tables, plates, cutlery everything was dirty. The service was poor. Needs some freshening up to say the least! Very disappointed.

It was really frustrating to wait outside the South Indian section (First Floor) of this place even after reaching there at 10:45AM. We weren’t allowed to enter the restaurant citing two reasons: 1) Nobody is allowed to enter unless the manager arrives the restaurant (even if someone reaches on time) 2) That the actual opening time is 11:00AM It is to be noted that in-house cleaning and daily chores were completed with the air conditioner being switched on, yet the staffs didn’t let anyone (4 others excluding 3 of us were turned away) enter the premise only because the manager hadn’t arrived in time. We still waited only to have our intended breakfast and after speaking to the manager, we were stunned at the reckless attitude by stating that - “nobody is allowed to enter unless the manager arrives”

The staffs had given another packets of order in place of our order packets and we faced problem because many guests had came to our home and due to improper service of hotel staff we faced problem. The hotel management should be managed properly because every time they can’t take order for granted they should check once before delivering to delivery partners because of their mistake we faces problem .
