Went there in the evening for a couple of beers and the sea view. Had fish tikka and onion rings, both were super tasty, View from the balcony seating area is perfect.

One of the few places in Puducherry that has an excellent seafront.  Quite aptly named ‘Ajantha Sea View’, the view of the promenade, the beach, the sound of the never-ending waves is just priceless, whether it is from the Balcony or the Roof-top of the property. . I have been here a few times earlier and have documented two visits on my blog.  One was an elaborate beer outing with friends, and the next one was a dinner with family.  On both the occasions, we sat on the same table on the balcony of the first floor.

This restaurant is more for the view and ambience. The food is tasty and has more options with Indian cuisine. The calamari was spicy and good to pair with your alcohol. The fish curry with the mango pieces was different and a must taste dish.

The location of this restaurant is really nice... It's located on the rock beach and has a nice view of the sea... The rooftop is one to sit at... The gentle breeze along with good food is simply perfect... We ordered Japansese Stir fried prawns, Calamari fry, Asian style prawns and Prawn Cafreal with steamed rice... The service was pretty fast... We had our food within mins of ordering... The Highlight for me was the calamari fry... It was crispy and had a tinge of spiciness on the batter itself which really enhanced the flavors... Loved it... The other dishes were okayish... Nothing great... Hence, the average rating for this place..

We were told to wait for 15 mins for someone to get done with their food while there was an empty table right in front of us, which someone had verbally booked for. As we were just standing and waiting, the stuff told us to sit on the empty table, we asked if they are sure. And also if they are sure that we can get a table. They told us yes. So we sat down. We were pretty hungry so we had quickly decided what to eat, but none of the waiting stuff was looking our way, they were actually just moving past us. They were waiting for the people who had reserved the table we were sitting on. After 10 mins of just sitting, we heard the manager telling the stuff that they have been waiting for the other party to show up for some time, now they can take our order. So they come to take our order which we give quickly and in 5 mins the other party shows up and the manager tells us to get up. This is so disrespectful on their part. If they were not able to get us seated they could tell us as we enter the premise, but insulting us like this while we were excited to enjoy their food, is disappointing. On top of it, the person who had come still was waiting for other people of the group to show up. They had also booked the table on spot not earlier.

The manager was absolutely arrogant, ill informed, had no sense of logic and spoke as if he owns the restaurant. Don't know who hired him or why, never coming back to this place and suggest others to not spoil their mood going to this rat house
