During our seven day Pondicherry trip, we stayed at Le Royal park hotel and got a chance to feast their Tarnisher breakfast buffet.  This restaurant in the heart of Pondicherry with beautiful space of serenity, catchy interiors, crystalline decor and chandelier with calm music is an ideal atmosphere for breakfast. The staff is lovely and inviting provides delightful service. A nice filling breakfast every morning really revved us with their perfect introduction to the regions’s traditional cuisine mixed with delicate fragrance and exceptional flavours to relish. Every single day their menu was updating and it was one of the most rassasy breakfast buffet ever. We gobbled in : Idli : If you want to go light on your tummy but wholesome then this soft and spongy Idlis with a healthy twist like green peas, carrot, cashew and thalicha idly are for you accompanied by red and coconut chutney with sambar are delicious Mini Uttapam : Mini Round Uttapams topped with bright diced tomatoes, onions and chillies are airy, has a smooth plus fluffy texture and tasted nummy with beet-root chutney. Gobi paratha : Thick slab of paratha infused with a moist mix of itsy grainy florets of cauliflower and trove of spices is ono.  French Toast : Immensely soft triangle shaped French toasts are vaguely sweet with slightly cinnamon flavour tastes highly pleasant in taste when honey poured on it. Pesarattu : If you are looking for a super healthy bite, this green thick pesarattu is for you. Make sure to chew it with ginger chutney. Aloo Bonda : Delicately fried mini aloo bondas with sumptuous aloo chutney inside are warmly tasty delights. Tomato Baath : This orangish- red mounds of savoury tomato rice packed with dash of spices and tomatoish flavour topped with peanuts induced feeling of fullness. Upma : Whitish aromatic Upma with colourful chopped veggies like carrot, green bell peppers, peas, chillies, curry leaves is classy Chana Masala : Boiled Chick-pea spiced-up with Indian masalas in medium thick tangy gravy with onions, tomatoes and chilly slits completely tantalised your taste buds when paired with soft puris.  Poori bhaji : Boiled potatoes doused in mushy yellow gravy seasoned with fewer spices including onions and chilly slits paired with puri is an awesome combo for those who loves light and zero spices meal. Wheat Upma : This simple yet nutritious wheat Upma incorporated with slightly tossed technicolour veggies is a dose of healthy nosh. Sambar Wada : Unbeatably crisp, fluffy and chewy mix with few pepper corns and curry leaves goes well with sambar and chutneys. Grilled Tomato : Colossal slices of grilled tomatoes are flawless and sprinkled with cilantro  Onion Paratha : Pieces of paratha stuffed with spiced up chopped onions are normal Paneer Paratha : Parathas filled with shredded paneer and other spices are good Strawberry Pancake :This extra soft, warm and golden-pinkish pancake is full of strawberry flavour.  Mysore Bonda : Deep fried Mysore bonda tasted authentic Sambar : Chopped pumpkin, drum-sticks, ridge-gourd also some onions petals and tomatoes mixed with gram dal perfectly cooked topped with fresh cilantro is a healthy aliment to guzzled with dosai and idlis. Ragi Uthappam : This tasty brownish ragi uttappam is an enticing punch of healthy chew accompanied with tomato chutney.  Parapu vada : Dry, crunchy and robust Wada from outside, is rich, moist and chewy from inside has mild flavours and tasted fantastically delish.  Rava Khichadi : This sweet Rava khichadi topped with toasted cashews is scrummy.  Semiya Bath : Yellowish semiya incorporated with a subtle touch of spices and optimal fresh chopped veggies are amazingly succulent. Pineapple Kesari : These sweet semiya packed with pineapple flavour and topped with roasted cashews are mighty appetising and incredibly tasty at the same time. Semiya kesari : Squishy Kesari shaded Indian thin noodles are intensely aromatic and irresistibly delicious topped with handful cashews Kambu -uttappam : This paleo uttappam is plain fresh, tender and good healthy option for healthy people. There are live counters which serves five different variants of fresh Dosa and fluffy omelette. Varieties of distinct in-house chutneys, sprouts, salad and salad dressing purples us the most Arrays of chopped fruits, hearty juices, cornflakes, hot beverages really deserves a breakfast title that swage to kickstart your morning. Definitely recommend this place to others not only for food but also for great hospitality. Ambience - 4.5/5  Food - 5/5 Service - 4/5 VFM - 5/5 Parking - Yes After a long and tiring drive on a hot August day, we checked in to Hotel Le Royal Park, and didnt really have the motivation to go out for lunch. And hence we discovered what should easily count as one of the most extensive and high quality buffets Ive had till now. The variety was huge, quality of food top notch and taste just perfect. And if you figure in the cost, its a mighty bargain! There meal began with some freshly squeezed cucumber juice. Super cool on the hot day and an amazingly light and healthy start to the meal. There were 5 salads in the spread. Russian salad, Mexican corn salad, a green salad with cucumbers and onion, a fusion salad and a fruit salad. Apart from this, sliced olives, jalapenos and lettuce was available. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy and I loaded my plate with it! The soup of the day was a mushroom clear soup. Again very delicately flavoured, it had small chunks of mushroom at the bottom with a very flavourful thin, clear broth served at the perfect temperature. Kudos! For starters we had Dragon veg, which was veggies tossed in a spicy chinese sauce. Not too oily, this nicely complemented the soup. There was a live counter serving fried yam. Now this is the first time Ive had this dish in any restaurant. Golden fried thinly cut slices of crisp yam. Yummy! For mains, all the main cuisines wwee covered. The Thai cauliflower was a bit of a let down, over boiled and squishy. But this was more than salvaged by the amazing Hong Kong Noodles. Not sure what the secret ingredient was, but it tasted really good. Was mild ans light, and the veggies lent a wonderful texture to the noodles. In South Indian, there were two unique dishes. Vaazhapoo Kozhambu, which is a thickish variant of sambar, made with finely chopped banana flower. This is a dish typically made at wedding feasts and I was pleasantly surprised to see it here. The other was a sabzi made of fried okra and grated coconut. Along with steamed rice, this was an extremely satisfying main course. For lovers of North Indian, there was veg kadhai, chole masala and Kashmiri pulav. Didnt have the appetite to tey it out. And then there was Veg Augratin and Pasta in basil tomato sauce. The pasta was in a brownish sauce, which was different from what one is used to. And finally the dessert table. Spoilt for choice between blueberry halwa and gulab jamun, I ended up taking multiple servings of both. The halwa was truly delicious. Then there was chocolate brownie, fresh fruits, vanilla and strawberry ice cream along with toppings of tutty fruity, chocolate chips and white chocolate shavings. And in true south indian style, it ended with a glass of spiced buttermilk. Cant recommend this buffet more....

Rating is only for the ambience. Tried continental dishes here. Beef steak was very poorly made. Felt like I was chewing rubber. Best to avoid.

Horrible do not go for it We reached in the afternoon after check in we decided to have lunch as we were all hungry after the long drive we were given a 15%discount coupon I should have gone by my instincts that this will be horrible Ambience nothing to speak about Food we had taken the lunch buffet which was veg half the items were not available and we had to keep asking multiple times to refill which fell to deaf ears everyone in the restaurant was frustrated food worth trying was the sautés veggie tikka noodles and mix veg rest all was so horrible that you might end up wasting the food Dessert you get all the name tags but nothing to eat after many follow ups and empty assurances of getting refilled we had a gulab jamun and decided to end the torture called lunch oh yes they did bring in some cheese astray which was clearly a case of high gelatine overall HORRIBLE survive on fruits which u get just opposite to the hotel Surprisingly the breakfast included in package was far better than the lunch Breakfast spread was good I liked almost everything the only here as well was refill and service of water Breakfast was good but surprisingly they had no clue on how to sequence the food which would have been convenient for everyone

They don’t accept payment through Zomato. They should live updated the app and made sure that customers can’t pay through Zomato. We did and the general manger was very rude and his way of talking was extremely polite and he was screaming at us unnecessarily and he didn’t even help us to get our money refunded through Zomato. We don’t recommend this restaurant at all Worst experience
