The best pizza. The children fell in love with the food. Best quality, generous quantity and humble service. Being a local, have tried most places and no doubt tanto is the best.

Ice Tea , Gambas Pasta and Fresh juice is a must try. Place serves everything fresh as everything we ordered had a refreshing and juicy taste to it. This place lives up-to it’s name. Tried Earth Pizza i think it could have been more crispy 😅. Over all value for money. Food is 😊 great

It’s a petty that the people in Pondy don’t come to this place often. I had the best wood fired pizzas here. We loved the food so much that between two people we ate two large pizzas and that’s a lot of food!

Tantos has mostly been a takeaway spot for me, but this time I tried dining in. Given the weather, we started with some fresh juices and their special iced tea, which were quite refreshing. For mains, the creamy mushroom pasta was spot on, the vegetarian pizza was just okay, and the Mediterranean pizza was really good. The pesto pasta, however, didn’t work for us it had a strong taste that reminded us of camphor, and we ended up leaving it untouched. The highlight was definitely the caramel custard. It came in a generous portion, soft and smooth with a light, melt-in-the-mouth texture. The caramel had just the right amount of bitterness to balance the sweetness, making it feel rich but not overwhelming. It’s easily something I’d go back for. Overall, the bill came to around 2.8k, and while the experience had its ups and downs, the dessert made it worth it.

😕 Honestly, this place is super overrated, idk why. Had way better wood-fired pizza in Bengaluru. And the cheese they used? Super local, not what I'd expect from a famous cafe. - Tomato soup was basically pizza sauce liquefied 🙄 - Garlic bread was just sandwich bread with sticky cheese 😬 - Pesto pasta was okay, not authentic tho - Pizza cheese was a disaster, and their service was so slow we cancelled one pizza 😐 Maybe it's just me, but didn't impress me much.

Tanto had been one of the most recommended restaurants to try pizza in Pondicherry so naturally we had it on our list. This particular outlet is very basic and simple. Even the cutlery is very old and they serve in old steel bowls and plates which doesn't look appetizing at all. We decided not to judge the restaurant on the basis of the cutlery but the food disappointed us even more. We had ordered for the Mexican bean soup, spinach ravioli pasta and vegetarian paneer pizza. The soup was really mild and we didn't enjoy the taste. The ravioli looked super sad when served. Taste wise too it was not good at all and seriously lacked flavours. Also the cheese was smelly so we left it after a bite. The pizza was the weakest which is so surprising as I have heard really good things about it. First of all it was dry and looking at the image you can make out that the paneer was really uncooked. They had simply baked the base with sauce and added sauteed vegetables with raw paneer. We were so upset as it was our last day in Pondicherry. I don't know if this particular outlet was a wrong choice or have Tanto management been unable to maintain the consistency. Surely would hope this shortcomings are rectified and other people visiting here end up having a good time.

I ordered food (pizzas and fries) from here cos ppl told me it's a great place for pizzas. But let me tell u it's not! I ordered a classic pizza and the way it arrived it looked like some leftover pieces were just stuffed in the box and sent. The cheese tasted like rubber (as if the pizza were old and stale). The slices were one on top of the other with some just stuck to the roof of the box. Worst experience ever!! Pls pls pls avoid if u can. Also they don't send chili flakes and oregano with their pizzas..!!?? Apart from that I also ordered fries which were soggy but I guess that happens when they're packaged and delivered.

Visited this place yesterday after all of the hype surrounding it and boy it was disappointing. Ordered Mediterranean pizza, pesto spaghetti, garlic bread with cheese & margarita pizza. Everything except the margharita tasted poor(of course you can't go wrong with a margharita). You can definitely avoid visiting this place. Much better cafes surrounding it.

It was an Italian restaurant, the pizza and risotto was not delicious AT ALL. There were flies all over the place and our food. We ordered and ended up wasting as we couldn’t eat the stuff that was prepared. Would not recommend this place if you are craving for a good pizza or for that matter anything Italian.

Don’t come to this place if you are foodie.Worst place to dine ,there is some issue with the North Indian people nor they will give you menu card if you are from north India.
