Awesome food quality at a reasonable price.. the place is clean and hygienic. The food is fresh all the time and not spicy at all.. excellent for bachelors as it gives the feeling of home cooked food!

I used to go very often in 1996 the complete meal thali used to cost Rs 20/= it seems they are maintaining the same menu and service. Wish them good luck. They are icons of Pune eateries.

Craving for some authentic home cooked Maharashtrian food ? Then this Legendary Place is as perfect as it gets. The entire place screams simplicity - be it the Simple straightforward Menu of Chapati, Dal, Aloo chi Paatal bhaaji, Khichadi or Plain rice and the Rassam, or the simple attire of the efficient and alert waiters. But the taste of each of these items is so so good, with the Waiters serving these hot without much of a fuss. I have even noticed the Owner of this Legendary Place himself serving Rice himself. And the taste is the same even after so many years- as pointed out by my Parents who have been here many times before. The prices are also on the lower side as compared to other restaurants on this side of the city. No doubt why this place is so popular and the waiting time high- especially on Weekends. All in all, a Very Good & Simple Restaurant serving Good food - just the way it should be served.

One of the well known place to eat thali at heat of the city. This place is there for 50+ years and true Punekars have special place in their hearts.. Long time back this place used to be mess for outstation students in Pune. Simple menu which one can eat every day.. Location is slightly tricky to find. It's opposite Hotel Shreyas on Apte road. Hotel entrance is from a residential colony. Menu keeps on changing every day. Everything is unlimited including bhaji, akti, koshimbir rice. Some items like papad, dahi chapati(4) are limited.. Their amti is famous. It has unique taste of tangy, sweet and spicy... Many people are fan of their amti. You need to ask for rassam wati which is complementory. Limited 2&4 wheelers parking . . Recommended for simple thali.. pocket friendly place..

Food: they provide unlimited vegeterian thali at reasonable rate. The sitaphal rabdi is yummy. Ambience : the place is well lit and well ventilated. You can get waiting of upto 10-20 mins at weekends Service : the service is great and prompt. As it is unlimited thali the waiters are constantly on rotation.

This place tries to offer home cooked food but at very high cost. they vever serve any complementary sweet/ drink. 3 types of typical repetitive curries like chana, matar, mataki, vaal, masoor, and potato. They never serve any green vegetables. whatever is available in the market at a cheap rate they serve that. taste is also same for every curry. Rather visit muralidhar near deccan bus stand its far far better than this.
