One of the finest South Indian food spots in Pune! The Ghee Masala Dosa and Ghee Podi Thatte Idli are absolute must-tries. Their Filter Coffee soft serve is a unique and delightful twist. Overall, a fantastic place for a quick and satisfying bite! The service may take a little time, but that’s only because the place is so popular and they’re serving a lot of happy customers at once.

The ghee pudina dosa was great. Might be too oily for some people if you dont like ghee. But the desserts are excellent. Both the filter coffee cheesecake and filter coffee soft serve are must trys

The coffee stood out for me, and the freshly made soft serves in black forest, bournvita and coffee flavours were so good. They also have a great variety of South Indian food, from dosas and idlis to their new menu. Serving tiramisu and panna cotta as well. Overall a really nice place with a peaceful vibe.

Went for dinner with my brother, hoping for a good South Indian meal, but unfortunately, the overall experience was quite underwhelming. The service was one of the biggest disappointments. The waiters seemed more occupied with chatting amongst themselves, so you had to keep calling them whenever you needed something. It made the dining experience feel rather inattentive. Coming to the food, most of what we ordered was mediocre. Filter Coffee – Nothing outstanding. It was just okay. Butter Garlic Podi Idli – Average at best. The idlis weren't particularly spongy, and the podi was quite overpowering, masking the flavour of the idlis. Tomato-Onion Uttapam – We got two rather small pieces. They were a little too thick and dense rather than being light and fluffy. Pudina Masala Dosa – Just okay. The dosa was far too thick and lacked the light, crisp texture you expect from a good dosa. The sambar was particularly disappointing—it had very little flavour. Filter Kapi Tiramisu – More like a pudding than a tiramisu. Unfortunately, this was below average and didn't work for us. Overall, not a very good experience. The service needs attention, and the food didn't really have the finesse or consistency I was expecting. There were more misses than hits on this visit. Would I go back? Probably not, at least not anytime soon.

Bangalore Canteen has opened recently in Karve Nagar and has been attracting a large number of crowd since then. It is small single shop outlet located on Karve Road. Roadside two wheeler parking availble. I visited this place on a weekdend morning for breakfast with a friend. Ths place was full of people. They have self service system in place. Had to wait in line just to order food and to collect dilter coffee as well. There is no ambience to talk about. They have set up long standing tables where you can eat. Talking about the food, this place spcializes in serving a range of traditional south indian cusine along with a few fusion dishes. We tried their Ghee Podi Thatte Idli along with Filter Coffee. The idli was really good and quite large to be honest. However, it lacked the authentic texture. Still liked it though. The chutneys were really great. Filter coffee was a bit disappointing. Good quality and quantity. The staff is okay and the service is acceptable. Reasonable prices. A one time visit for me.

Extremely disappointing experience. For a restaurant exclusively serving South Indian cuisine, the dosa, uthappam, and idli were completely sour, clearly indicating that the batter was over-fermented and old. > To make matters worse, the staff at the cash counter mistakenly punched our dine-in order as a takeout. When we pointed out the error, instead of plating fresh meals, they simply served us the same cold food straight out of the plastic takeout containers. > This was a horrible experience, especially given the premium prices they charge. Easily the worst in this category. Punekars are much better off sticking to the classics like Vaishali and Rupali. Save your money and avoid this place.

Absolutely atrocious experience. I ordered the idli, and it arrived completely spoiled. The packaging for the sambar was a disaster, it had spilled over everything in the bag. To top it off, the idli was bone dry, thick, and had zero moisture. It was genuinely inedible. Save your money and eat elsewhere

The timings given are very misleading! After 3pm they serve ONLY Cheesecake and ice cream and NO FOOD. No issue with the policy to do so but they need to mention so in their timings. Very disappointing!
