I had visited bookbar in Erandwane about 6 months ago and had the most amazing experience. the food and drinks were amazing. Going back to the Mayur Colony one with the same expectations ended up with a horrible disappointment. 1. The server never gave us water. We didnt mind at first because we wanted to have matcha, which was nice. When he came back to ask if we wanted to repeat our drinks, i said no i just want water to which he rudely said obviously that’s a given but do you want anything else, i say no just water. still doesnt get the water. 2. We ordered the chocolate cake for later but it was served to us before our mains were served. They didnt take it back even after asking for it. 3. Server didnt know what thick cut fries are. The sandwich and crepes we had for dinner were nice. 4. The cake was a major disappointment. It tasted like a cheap 20 rupee pastry from a roadside bakery with cheap chocolate frosting on it, no chocolate sauce served with it (which they did in Erandwane). The cake itself was very very bad. 5. The server also gave us our bill without us asking for it since we were still eating. We just ended up paying and finished our food and left. Fortunately the floor manager noticed the server giving us the bill without asking for it and apologised for it. Apart from that, I want to say theres a huge problem with the servers and their attitude towards the guest. I was not expecting this experience especially after a really great experience at the Erandwane one.

The staff is extremely rude, and the beverages are watery and tasteless. I’ve tried nearly all their drinks, and not a single one was good. The ₹350 tiramisu came in tiny shot glass with zero flavor, we even had to order an extra espresso for flavo

The experience at Bookbar Cafe, Kothrud, Pune was disappointing and did not justify the premium prices charged. The tiramisu tasted stale when served, showing a lack of freshness and attention to detail. The Harissa Chicken sandwich had large chicken chunks instead of being properly shredded, making it less enjoyable to eat. Basic condiments like tomato sauce were completely missing, which is unexpected at this price point. upon asking,they mentioned thst they dont serve it. Moreover chips served along with sandwiches are basic ones compared to other cafes. Despite the ordinary ambience and unimpressive service, they charged a steep 7.5% service fee that felt totally unnecessary. Overall, the cafe is overhyped and fails to deliver value or quality in relation to its cost. Improvements in menu quality, guest service, and pricing policy are much needed. I would not recommend visiting the place.

I have had their iced strawberry matcha coconut latte and it was just amazing. love the ambience. getting to the books can be a bit tricky. and evenings it is kind of a date central so you dont want to disturb anyone. Its perfect for solo dates - read, coffee and chill.

We ordered iced mocha and sweet cloud from this restaurant. There was nothing sweet in both the coffee, no mocha flavour, no vanilla flavour, no sugar. Plain simple water, ice and coffee. Absolutely disappointed. 500 rs wasted.

It’s one of my favourite cafes to go to in kothrud. Love the coffee and food as well! Pizza is delicious. Vibe is amazing.

Worst cafe ever, they charge you like 290 for a pasta and the quantity is so less it's not enough for 1 person also, the garlic bread was bad too, over priced , waste of money and the shittiest cafe ever, I now understand why most of the ppl were there to work and not eating anything, just the ambience is good. They don't even have a dustbin. the staff forgot what we ordered, they took 45 mins to give the pasta, and then they had the audacity to charge a service charge of rupees 50, shameful.

It’s not a place to go to the people here is rude and I feel they are not friendly and certainly they are in the wrong business. Hospitality is about customer first but surely they don’t care.

Went with family to the new mini bookbar , staff refused to make place despite the restaurant being half empty. And this is my second bad experience. Pathetic.
