A slice of Japan in Pune, every dish is prepared with love and described in beautiful detail by the chef. Looking forward to coming here again and trying all their different varieties of ramen

The food was great. Staff are extremely polite and friendly and the ambience feels like a quaint house managed japanese restaurant

The menu is all very tempting. i ordered Mushroom Ramen and Chicken Karaage. Karaage was nice, crunchy and juicy too. In the Ramen, the mushrooms, tofu were literally cold and the Ramen noodles were hakka noodles which were quite a bit of a put off. But i truly enjoyed the broth! Would certainly want to try other dishes.

Ginkgo is NOT the same restaurant anymore. I used to genuinely love Ginkgo, especially their Chicken Karaage and Shoyu/Tonkotsu Ramen. After my recent visit following the renovation, I was extremely disappointed. We booked a table for 3 through Zomato, paid ₹500 per person upfront, and arrived on time. We were then told there was no table available and were asked to sit individually at the counter. What's the point of taking a table reservation if you can't actually provide a table? Two starters we wanted - Shojin Karaage and Chicken Yodare were out of stock, despite the already-small menu. We ordered Chicken Karaage instead. Previously, it was one of my favorite dishes - 5 decent-sized, juicy pieces. Now it was 4 tiny, popcorn-sized pieces, and the chicken was nowhere near as tender or juicy as before. The Tonkotsu Ramen was even worse. The broth was watery and bland instead of rich and flavourful, the pork was rubbery, and the fish cake was missing. I still have photos from my previous visit, and the difference is honestly shocking. To make matters worse, there were flies around the counter and even around the cooking area. Seeing flies where food is being prepared is simply unacceptable and raises serious hygiene concerns. The renovation seems to have improved the aesthetics, but the food, portions, service and overall experience have gone downhill significantly. At ₹900+ per person, this is absolutely not worth the money. I genuinely loved the old Ginkgo, but this is not the Ginkgo I used to recommend. Would not return. Would not recommend.

Getting a table at Ginkgo is a hassle. Despite having a booking for 3, we still couldn’t get a table, even after repeatedly asking the staff. And after finally dealing with all of that, most of the items on the menu weren’t even available. Ginkgo used to be one of my favourite places to eat, but the experience has degraded so badly that I can’t even look at the place the same way anymore. There were flies around our table, the staff barely bothered to entertain us, and the overall service was extremely poor. On top of that, the portion sizes have gotten smaller, while the quality and taste have taken a massive hit. Almost everything that used to make Ginkgo worth visiting has deteriorated. If you’re looking to burn at least ₹500 per person for a frustrating experience, unavailable menu items, poor service, and questionable food quality, go ahead and book your seat at Ginkgo — assuming you can actually get a table. What was once one of my favourite places has turned into a complete disappointment. Sorry for no pics. wasn't worth clicking.
