Kamats is a MANDATORY visit on the way to Lonavala/Pune/Mahableshwar since years. The place has changed one bit. Our order is also always more less fixed: Batata vada (which they serve with a very different chutney) Mysore Dosa Masala Dosa Filter coffee Also occasionally idli, missal and sabudana khichdi The ambience is basic but the service is quick.

Good place for a quick halt and south indian snacks. You get true south flavour. However the property is run down now a days and needs a refurbishment badly. However their location is the winner. Washrooms are ok types. But food quality is just awesome. Ambience: 2.5/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 4/5

Kamats is a popular stop in Lonavala, especially for those looking for quick bites. It's become a ritualistic halt for many, particularly when entering Lonavala. We tried Cheese Grill and chai. there are too many flies, not really clean. Can be a spot for a brief stop after long drive. the staff is not friendly

The food is not upto the mark. The hygiene levels have fallen. Rice was half cooked and Daal was very oily. Dosa too was not good. Am very surprised that once a good restaurant has turned v disappointing.

Very disappointing experience at Kamat Hotel, Lonavala. We were made to wait in one lane for almost 15 minutes and not a single staff member bothered to attend us. When we finally asked, we were casually told to shift to another lane because they were short-staffed. Fine — we adjusted and moved. But the situation didn’t improve at all. Even after sitting in the new lane, no one came to take our order for another 10 minutes. It felt like customers just don’t matter here. When we asked again, instead of apologizing or trying to fix the situation, the owner himself rudely said, “Rukna hai to ruko, time lagega.” That attitude says everything. Poor management, zero customer respect, and absolutely no accountability. Definitely not worth the hype or the wait. Never ever coming here again.

worst behavior from staff...cash counter guy feels as if he is a big shot...if u cant respect ur customers then better shut ur hotel...bakwaas khana uparse attitude taj hotel wale..pathetic hotel..never ever visiting this so called hotel ever again..isse acha toh road side thele pe kha lo atleast they pay attention to u n provide u with all that they've got..

Didn’t expect such a service from Vitthal Kamat’s Chain. Pathetic!!! 1. Pav Bhaji was cold. 2. Butter Naan didn’t have butter. 3. The vessel in which biryani was bought was full of dishwashing soap. By the way biryani was cold too. The staff is rude and they have a best quality of being arrogant. Please avoid this restaurant.

Avoid eating at this joint. Bad service and found a dead cockroach in one of the chutney they served along with the Batata Vada.
