I recently visited Karim's in Hinjewadi and was thoroughly impressed by the authentic taste and quality. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one hit the mark: Chicken Reshmi Kebab: Perfectly juicy and soft. Chicken Karim’s Special: This was a standout—nicely cooked with a smoky flavor and a unique, thick masala rich in spices. Chicken Korma & Khamiri Roti: The korma was incredibly aromatic with a thick, flavorful consistency (clearly prepared with quality curd and spices). The Khamiri roti was the perfect accompaniment—very soft and fresh. Chicken Biryani: Fragrant, well-balanced, and delicious. One of the best things I noticed was that no artificial food coloring was used in any of the dishes, which is rare and much appreciated. The ambience is lovely, and despite it being a popular spot, there was no waiting time. They have plenty of seating and—most importantly for Hinjewadi—ample parking space available. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Mughlai cuisine!

I made an impromptu visit with my family to Karim’s in Hinjewadi, and the experience turned out to be delightful. The ambience was quiet and understated, creating a relaxed setting for a family outing. Their tagline proudly referenced the original Jama Masjid branch, which initially made me sceptical—but the food quickly erased any doubts. We tried the mutton seekh kebab, which was absolute melt-in-the-mouth perfection. The mutton Mughlai in white gravy was mild yet flavorful, with tender pieces of mutton that paired beautifully with khamiri roti and shrimal. The mutton biryani was aromatic and well-balanced, living up to the reputation of the original branch. Service was friendly, though a little on the slower side, but the warmth of the staff made up for it. Overall, Karim’s Hinjewadi lived up to its legendary name and delivered an authentic Mughlai dining experience. Verdict: A must-visit for anyone craving rich Mughlai flavors in Pune.

We tried mutton, chicken and veg biryani along with soya chaap. Mutton biryani was delicious and worth every penny.

I had heard a lot about the original Karim’s from Delhi from many of my friends. When I got to know that it was opening in Pune, I was excited to visit. Location: 5/5 It’s not on the main road; it’s in Social Street, Hinjewadi. Easily located using Google Maps. Parking: 4/5 If you dislike basement parking, you might be disappointed here. But space availability is not a concern (as of yet). First impression and ambience: 4/5 The ambience is very simple. There’s no Mughlai architecture or dark interiors. Instead, it’s bright and comfortable. They have glimpses of their history displayed on the walls. However, seating is limited. So once the rush increases, you might have to wait for your turn. Price, menu and taste: 4/5 The menu is comprehensive but mainly focused on non-veg items. So for vegetarians, it’s not an ideal place. However, there is a wide variety of non-veg dishes including shorbas, kebabs, rolls, biryani, curries, etc. The best part is that they didn’t try to include every dish that is commonly available everywhere. They have focused only on their specialties. We skipped the starters and ordered mutton nihari. I ordered khamiri roti for myself, and my mom and dad ordered butter tandoori roti. I loved the combination of nihari with khamiri roti (I had tried khamiri roti for the first time). The tastes complemented each other very well. My mom and dad did not find it very appealing. I would like to blame the roti because when I tried it with tandoori roti, the taste was just okay. The mutton pieces were well cooked, very soft, and the curry was thin and tasted good. Then we went for chicken biryani. All three of us liked the biryani very much. My wife ordered a soya chaap roll and shahi tukda. The roll had good quantity, but the shahi tukda portion was very small. Again, it’s not a great place for vegetarians. Prices are high, much more than average. So consider your budget before visiting. Service: 5/5 Service was very prompt. The staff was sufficiently kind. Payment: 5/5 We made the payment by card. Conclusion: 4/5 The taste is good, but it depends on what you order. I would recommend going with the captain’s recommendations. He should be able to suggest the best combination, unless, of course, you are clear about your own preferences. But price is definitely a considerable factor. Total bill: Rs. 1790 for four Service charge: Nil Offer applied: Zomato had 10% off, but we didn’t opt for it (Dad's treat) Payable amount: Rs. 1790

Ambience is very mid. the camp branch has better authentic ambience. I only rated it good because of the food. The staff was also casual, they kept cleaning utensils and talking among themselves. the furniture looked very unclean and there were bottles and other things lying around the restaurant. Price was high, just like the Camp branch, but the vibe was off.

2 pieces of Mutton Nihari in Rs 400 dish is absolutely not accepted. Biryani was pathetic. Mutton seekh kebab was amazing. But 2 pieces in Rs 300... Over priced restaurant
