After a huge urge to have some delicious lipsmacking Misal Pav, I found this outlet of Kata Kirr closest to my work place. So, on one fine Friday afternoon, I made my way to this place with a friend for lunch. This outlet of Kata Kirr is located on Baner Road Roadside two-wheeler parking is available. It is medium sized outlet with indoor seating. The ambience is very average. The place was almost empty when we visited. For the unversed, Kata Kirr specializes in serving Misal Pav. We ordered Medium Misal Paav along with Taak. The Misal Pav tasted good. Authentic Kata Kirr taste. The Taak was also good. The staff is polite and service is fast. Good quality. I felt the quantity of Misal served here was less than other outlets. Reasonable prices. A good option to have misal in Baner area.

True to its name. Consistent. Professional. Super hot - those who can handle it. Tikhkhat misal is not for faint hearted. Those who try it ye he first time end up having poor experience through no fault of their own. Super spicy misal is an acquired taste. Once you get addicted to super hot tikhkhat misal, you can't go back go medium. We order one tikhkhat and one medium to be safe but both ended up eating tikhkhat.. It was also tasteful. The rassa provided was sufficient. I recommend ordering mattha as well to dial down the spice while downing the super hot stuff.

#Neutral review# Post 5# #Katakirr Baner Pune# Brief: This is one of the oldest misal house in Pune however many branches and franchise have opened in various parts of the city. I have been going here since its first branch opposite Garware college about 20 years ago and then the one at Kamla Nehru park and then Cummins college. Ambience: The Baner branch is good and clean and nice to visit once if you wanna go for spicy misal. Food: I have not been a fan of this misal as there are many others much more better than this. It's just the name and over hyped place. And I visited this after 6 or 7 years and they proved me right that they do not give the authentic taste. Anyways the misal and butter milk I had was average and just spicy not the taste that you would remember in your memories. They provide Potato sabji, farsan, onions and rassa in their misal. The pav they provide is very small as compared to any other good misal joints. My opinion: Nice business strategy however not justifying the price. Service: Good. Can try once. Rest your taste buds if you wanna visit again. I am done with this as I have better misal places for my misal cravings. Good food good life :)

The only specialty isn't perfect. It's spicy even medium, no proper plates. No customization in menu. Average taste. Not something special.

I have been visiting this baner outlet for 3 years. It was my favorite usual go-to place for misal pav. but I have noticed after covid that this place lacks hygiene. I have seen servants scratching their pants, head, nose, mouth, eyes ,and without washing their hands, they just touch the food and serve it. while making misal, they cough , dont cover their mouth. I have stopped going after multiple incidents. even the manager/ person sitting at the counter notices this , they just ingonre it because they are getting money just for the name.

This renowned place has its own stupid rule that you can’t pack and take home your left over tarri. They don’t even have any sensible reason behind this. When asked, the owner mentioned they mix the leftover tarri with the existing batch and same is served to customers.!!! So we’ve been served other people’s “Jhoota Khana” all these years??? This issue should be raised to FSSAI..!!! We have paid for the entire plate of food, we should be allowed to take home our own leftover, right ?

One of the overrated brands in pune watery gravy there's nothing much that can be called as misal there's difference in taste of main branch and rest of the outlets waste of money do not eat here if you know what actual misal is will be disappointed. 😡 won't be visiting again also will ask rest of friends to not visit.

Had ordered for regular Misal . Misal tasted like Red Chilly Powder is being mixed in boiling water. It was damn pathetic . Had ordered for extra Jodi Pav but sadly it was not delivered as well. Very bad experience
