We were looking for best chicken nearby and couldn't find any options. Then we ordered from Khandeshi Darbar and the chicken I had was the best chicken 🍗 ever . The taste was so good + the quantity is thick . The portion is really big . It's value for money . If you are a chicken 🍗 lover do order from this restaurant. Amazing food ever.

While searching for a good new restaurant to have some authentic Non-Vegetarian food nearby to our workplace, we stumbled upon Khandeshi Darbar. While the reviews on zomato were strictly average, we still decided to give this place a shot owing to its khandeshi appeal. Khandeshi Darbar is located near Balewadi High Street. It is a small single outlet with 4-5 tables indoors. Roadside two wheeler parking available. We, a group of 10, visited Khandeshi Darbar on a weekday, Friday afternoon for lunch. The ambience is poor. No efforts taken whatsoever. The place was empty when we visited and only one or two other tables were occupied as the afternoon progressed. Talking about the food, Khandeshi Darbar specilizes in serving a wide range of authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian Maharashtrain and Khandeshi dishes including Thalis. We ordered Bibda Fry, Matki Masala, Shev Bhaji, Special Chiken Thali along with Rotis and Bhakris. The Bibdi Fry were served first. A Bibdi essentially a Papad made from rice. The Bibdis served first were made from spolit oil and had a bad smell. They changed the same after we complained. A huge miss I feel in terms of quality. We became pretty tentative about what would we be receiving next after this rocky start. Thankfully, the quality of food improved. The Special Chiken Thali consisted of Chiken Gravy, Chiken Masala, Chiken Kheema along with Roti/Bhakri and rice. The chiken was well cooked in all the preparations. The gravy was good. The thick Chiken Masala was great as well. The Chiken Kheema was slightly on the spicy side but had loads of flavour. Loved it. The spices were right on the money. The rotis were more of phulkas but they tasted good. The bhakri was good as well. The vegetarian dishes on the other hand very very average. The staff here is the biggest problem. The staff is very incompetent. It is very difficult to communicate with them and make them understand even the simples of things. The service is slow. Good quantity. Except for the Bibdi, the quality of other food items was acceptable. Reasonable prices. Overall a good place to have some authentic non-vegetarian food.

Restaurant Summary: They give you the same gravy in all sabji's on their hotel menu list. which has a similar taste, for both, veg and nonveg. I have eaten almost all of their dishes, after which I am writing my experience here. & before placing the order just confirm with the restaurant whether the item you are going to order is available or not, because sometimes I have faced this issue.overall average experience.

Menu and price is fine but not at all hygienic. Need to improve on quality, location is good and parathas are good too

Never ever visit this restaurant. In the name of mutton thali you wont get a mutton in it. They charge 320 rs for 2 chapati and one plate rassa. I request this restaurant to go look around and what mutton thali really means.

This is the worst hotel in Baner as far as preparation and test is concerned. worst food. I am also from khandesh but I have worst experience on my home delivery food.

Excellent Shev Bhaji... JUST SHEV WERE MISSING.  Ordered Shevbhaji online and received Shevbhaji WITHOUT Shev.. Need Recipe for such excellent Shevbhaji.

Ordered Dal Tadka Khichadi from Khandeshi Darbar Baner and it smells like the food was prepared 2 days before . Worst experience ever 👎👎👎👎👎

Very rude staff and poor service. Staff refuses to give extra curry in a thali. They didn’t even mention thali is limited upon ordering.
