Meeting a school friend (who is here from Australia),post shopping and mandatory Kayani Bakery shopping, where we stood in line and purchased various goodies. Now Hungry so I took him to King’s Persian Bristo. History: The management started Badshah about 20 yrs ago, serving Falooda. Later opened a separate section for their regular Parsi & European patrons - a diner that serves delicious food and beverages. It is located on the first floor. Mind you you climb a wooden staircase, in case you have old people with you keep this in mind. The restaurant has a simple Irani style café look, walls are covered with frames that reminds one of a bygone era. Soft retro music 🎶 flowing that’s so pleasing & positive to the ears.. I love such vibes. Menu is arranged inside the glass table & refreshments are wine, beer and non alcoholic beverages. However… We opted for our all time favourite Ardy’s - Rasberry Soda (cold drink), followed by Patra ne Macchi Chicken salad Sali Boti with pav Mutton Pulao. And Desserts The patra ne macchi - steamed Pomfret in banana leaf. Loved the green chutney, it is very flavourful, mild and fish was steamed so well. This is just so amazing and highly recommended. Chicken salad- simple continental style with mayonnaise, peppers and chicken. Very filling. Mutton Sali Boti – opted for boneless. Flavours completely different from regular gravies. Mutton has taste of Parsi garam masalas, vinegar and mild sweetness. Freshness of Sali and kachumbar thinly sliced perfect combination. We opted for pav instead of chapati. Very satisfying .. It was Finger licking good! Mutton Pulao – A sizeable portion of rice with mutton, Kheema (minced) balls, potatoes and boiled egg. Love the way meat equals rice proportions, a die hard meat lover understands this. Served hot and equally delicious. Sweet endings with :- Lagan Nu Custard – was too good would have loved more nutmeg. Badshah Falooda – Good. Malai Kulfi slab was very creamy and Falooda rich with dry fruits. Everything was delicious, great portions served. Vibes, retro music, food, service and making more memories with old friends! What I loved the most is that Puneri culture still prevails in these old joints . Nothing is rushed and time stood still. Follow me #supriyachaubal11 for latest updates in your city

Our friends from Goa wanted to eat something unique and my hubby decided to visit Kings one more time to give them fabulous experience of authentic Paris cuisine...n guess what the decision was right...my hubby said me tula sangitla..me mhatla hmmm.hmm So here comes the important thing what we had... We started with sodas, they have some unique choice of sodas..green apple, lime, ginger, raspberry..very refreshing when summer is catching up in Pune. Next on platter was Chicken Farcha- Crispy egg coated on outside and super succulent and juicy inside. Kheema pav - purrfect spices. ..next time will surely eat again Chicken Dhansak with kabab n steamed rice- the dhansak was nice, creamy, daalish as needed but next time I want to eat with mutton The highlight were small 4 kebabs given with it..I could have a plate full of these small bombs with the soda..drooling We wanted to try berry pulao..but our stomach were full.. My friend wanted to lagan nu custard but was not available (something for next time to look forward to) so had to satisfy our sweet tooth with caramel custard which was just as we make it at home...the right way is just take a spoonful keep it on your tongue, close your eyes and let it just dissolve..oooooh... Over all experience ended with full tummies but dil mange more...Kings we will soon come again to try some more varieties

King's Parsi Restaurant on MG Road, Pune, is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Parsi cuisine. The flavors are rich, traditional, and leave you wanting more with every bite. Their Patrani Machi is perfectly spiced and steamed in banana leaf, bursting with freshness. The Chicken Dhansak is a comforting, soulful dish with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. Don’t leave without trying their Lagan Nu Custard, a delightful dessert that ends the meal on a high note. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it ideal for both families and food lovers. The staff is courteous and always ready to recommend the best from the menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Parsi flavors in Pune!

This was a totally last minute plan but so worth it. Nitesh was a super host and gave us top recommendations on what to order. We got the Farcha and the Mutton Dhansak, both were amazing!! The chicken was crispy but also so juicy. the Dhansak just hit the spot and checked all the boxes. Food was quickly (and freshly) prepared but everything was super well marinated and very flavorful. I cannot wait to come back and I think next time I'll try some of their Persian food. Sorry for no photos we ate it all too fast. Highly recommend this cozy little place with awesome food!!

Amazing Parsi food at King’s Persian Bistro! Loved the old-school Camp charm, Ardy’s raspberry soda, juicy Bombil Fry, saffrony Vajiri Chelo, creamy Badami Chicken and the best Mutton Dhansak I’ve ever had. Ended with perfect Lagan nu Custard. Feroza aunty cooks with pure love and passion — highly recommended!

One of the best places to eat comfort food. The simplicity with which the restaurant is run and friendly staff makes it a very cosy place to eat.

The food is decent but from the complete menu more than half the items are not available when i visited, they need more staff to manage the place, service is not on point.

The place has a quaint hole in the wall feel but the food does not live up to standards at all. Had ordered a Dhansak with pulao. They had just put boiled chicken and stock in dal and served. Chicken Farcha was okayish but not made authentic. no crumbling.
