Revisited to this iconic sea food place in PCMC, which has been incorporated since 1996 and was one of the first places to serve Malvan-style food in this area. We visited during the early hours, around 1 p.m., and it was already occupied with a couple of seats. We ordered Bombil Tawa Fry, Surmai Thali, Prawns Thali (unable to click the picture), and Bombil Tawa Fry as recommended by the owner himself. I'm not a fan of bombil, so I just had one piece. It was crisp from the outside and had a melt-in-your-mouth kind of texture. It came with chutney, which was just amazing. But undoubtedly, Surmai Thali was just wow: one big piece of fry piece, solkadi Vati, rassa vati, tandachi bhakri, and rice. Rassa with a slight soft bhakri was the perfect combination. Rassa was slightly thick in consistency, which amused me. The fry piece was crisped with a spicy coating and well marinated. Solkadhi is in house, and it was next level. a must-visit place for seafood lovers, and they do have chicken options as well. The owner also updated me that they also have outlets at Wakad and Baner. One of the must-visit restaurants of pune if you are a seafood lover. Went to their chinchwad branch and loved the food. the ambience is simple yet comforts you. Loved the sol kadhi freshly made and perfect. Bombil fry was crispy and tempting. the chutney which was given with it that was the winner. Prawns tawa fry were too good, big prawns marinated well and fried to perfection. Pomfret thali had big pomfret fry, fish curry, sukat, sol kadhi, rice and chapati or bhakri. loved the taste of pomfret. Same with surmai thali, instead of pomfret it had surmai fry. So if you are the seafood fan, this is a must-visit place for you.

I recently visited this place. Place is small but serve tasty seafood, Staff is also polite. I tried Malvani prawns biryani, prawns was perfectly cooked, quantity of prawns was perfect, correct spicy level, quantity of biryani was good. Best experience 👍 Keep it up malvan samudra 👍

Would recommend this place for seafood, not authentic malvani but taste was good like homey food. We order paplet thali in which fry solkadi Sukat chatni and my favourite paplet fry was delicious. Chicken thali was ok, Nice place for seafood lover

Everything we had tasted amazing starting from Surmai rawa fry, chicken oil fry accompanied by delicious chutney and coleslaw in starters to chicken thali. Even the veg thali was super tasty 👌👌😋😋

We went to this restaurant for lunch. For starters, we had Crab Lollipop and Bombil Fry. For main course, we had Kombdi Wade Thali and Surmai Thali. Crab Lollipop was nothing but a processed food item and the taste was less like crab and more like crap. Bombil Fry was decent in taste. In Kombdi Wade Thali, the Wade were not good in taste. Chicken Sukka was good but the chicken rassa felt good with rice but not good with bhakri/chapati/wade. In Surmai Thali, the Surmai Fry was good but the fish rassa was again a disappointment. Overall, the food experience was not at all fulfilling. Later on, we were experiencing burning sensation throughout our food pipe & stomach. Definitely, won't visit this restaurant anymore and wouldn't recommend anyone to visit.

I recently ordered kolambi khichdi, but what was served was extremely disappointing and misleading. Instead of a properly prepared dish, I received plain khichdi with a few pieces of kolambi simply placed on top. It was clear that the khichdi and kolambi were made separately, likely not even fresh, and just combined at the last moment. This is not how kolambi khichdi should be prepared; it felt like being served two separate dishes thrown together. This is unacceptable and deceitful. I expect better quality and honesty in what is being served.

Service was very slow.i ordered surmai tikhale which was not at all fresh ,chapati was hard even we were not able to chew it. Pompret fry and bombil fry was ok. I gave my review to the owner but he was not interested. I will not recommend any fish liver to go there.

we ordered prawns rice it was tasteless there were lot of khada masala & coriander so rice was tasting like coriander rice no any flavour of prawns because we hardly found 4-5 prawns for which they charged 473/- highly disappointed.

Not worth the price... Very impolient waiters... Food quality was not up to the mark....Biryani was oily...Also surmai fry was not tasted great
