Have been under the weather, since last week. With cough, cold and running nose. Last evening had stepped out and on the way back, decided to have Dinner at Persian Darbar, Wellesley Road, Pune. Started with... Fresh Lime Soda... 155/-. It was perfect, tangy and sweet. Mutton Tourki Boti... 695/-. The mutton was soft, tender and well cooked. Loved the taste of it's marinade. 👌 Then it was Chicken Biryani (4 pieces)... 495/-. The biryani was perfect and flavourful. We were planning to add, something else too. But this was sufficient for the 3 of us. Ended on a sweet note of, Classic Cream Kunafa... 330/-. Just loved this ❤️. This was perfect 👌 and like the lovely icing on the cake. It was nice and warm for the cold, windy night. And the sweetness also just right, except the slight tanginess of lemon was missing. Total meal for 3, with taxes... 1759/- 👍

We heard lot about Persian Darbar which is located at Byculla, Mumbai and tested food over there for many years but no change at all. Considering the same we visited this place. First we ordered Chicken Lebnan kabab and it was really good in taste. Then we ordered very famous chicken Kabsa rice it was Chinese fried rice with tandoori, Very much disappointed with the preparation and taste. The tandoori was so chewy it was not passing through throat. Same has been shown to person who was serving us and billing desk but they were not having any answer. After that we had kunafa which was really good in taste. But overall will give only 2 star. Need to improve much. Guys pls review and double sure for what you ask before placing order.

The restaurant looks very fancy and tries to give an impression of fine dine but the service is so poor you will feel like you are at a tapri. Very poor hospitality, slow service, whatever was served was cold and the waiter looked uninterested to serve. The only good thing was the flavour and taste of the food. The tourki murgh kebab were super tasty and the mutton biryani would also be good had it not been cold. Good good bad service.

Food was ok ok no salt in tandoor marination also if we talk about burnt smell you will be ignored . Service was pathetic no proper serving no attention on table spoons weee cracking seems they were in hurry crowd is expected on weekend so managing is their responsibility

I visited Persian Darbar, Pune recently and honestly had a very disappointing experience. The food taste was average, but the pricing was shocking. We were charged ₹55 per bottle for packaged drinking water, which feels unreasonably high. There was no clear communication about such inflated prices beforehand. As customers, we expect transparency and fair pricing, especially for basic items like water. Overall, the experience did not match the amount we paid. I wouldn’t recommend this place to others based on this visit. There are many better restaurants in Pune that offer better value and more honest pricing.

This was a frustrating visit. Despite a long 30-minute wait, the staff showed no courtesy or concern. To make matters worse, the food was terrible—poorly prepared and completely disappointing. Definitely not a place I would visit again.

Recently visited. The food is good, but the service is too slow. The staff is not friendly. We waited more than 1 hour for a table and then another 45 minutes for the food to arrive.
