I had high expectations for this Maharashtrian thali experience, but unfortunately, the service and presentation fell well below expectations. The biggest issue was the serving sequence. The chapati was served first, and by the time all the vegetables, salads, and accompaniments arrived, it had already turned cold. In a traditional Maharashtrian thali, the breads and main dishes should be served in a coordinated manner so that everything can be enjoyed fresh. The snack item was also served without any accompanying chutney or side dish, which made it feel incomplete. Additionally, the bhakri was served much later, whereas it should ideally be served along with the chapati and other breads as part of the thali. The most disappointing item was the puran poli. It was served broken into pieces and lacked the sweetness and texture one would expect from such a classic Maharashtrian delicacy. To make matters worse, the service lacked consistency across our table of six. Some plates were missing salad, while others were not served one of the dals. A thali experience should feel complete and synchronized for everyone at the table, but that was not the case. Overall, the lack of coordination, incomplete servings, and disappointing execution of traditional dishes made this a disheartening experience. I hope the restaurant improves its service standards and pays closer attention to the basics of a proper Maharashtrian thali.

We used to go there once in a few months but they started renovating the thali section around 4 months ago and shifted it to the upper section which was fine but the food was not that good. So today we decided to try it out once more and again the renovation was still not over even after 4 months! And the food quality was horrible (too oily, and tasteless), but the worst thing was that we got a cockroach in one of the thalis. The manager obviously did not charge for that thali but just cause of the renovation you cannot excuse the poor hygiene especially when you get cockroaches in your plate! After charging so much for the food, the poor quality is inexcusable. I urge people to consider a thousand times before going there! P.S.: I regret not taking photos of the cockroach incident since I was too busy trying not to puke after seeing it.

The Food was ok, but maybe we had bad luck as a group o 15-20 people without any civic sense or respect of privacy for others just occupied other tables and there was chaos everywhere,,The people serving were also confused and we were left waiting for Dal, rice, roti...it's 750rs a thali and everyone pays equal money would never ever go back here again.

I found a worm in the plain white rice. Not expected from a restaurant like shabree. Waiter just said sorry and took the plate back.
